The 67th Song [Action/Video]
[Rapunzel is sitting on a bench in the park, looking up wistfully at the sky. Floating around her head are paper lanterns that glow softly. Copies of the lanterns she's still dreaming about seeing when she gets home.
She goes to touch one, but the instant she does, it dissolves into dust and a voice that only she can hear, and she sighs.]
I know they're not real, but I just keep hoping...I don't know. I don't know if I'll ever get to see them for real at this point, or...
...I miss Eugene.

So...what's it like, anyway? Being a vampire.
Private
Better than being human, I'll say that much.
Private
[She figures vampires probably get all sorts of weird powers, in addition to being immortal and drinking blood.]
Private
Why the curiosity? Do you want to be one too?
Private
[She's never been sick a day in her life, and the hair is probably responsible for that.]

Re: Private
It does that, sometimes...
Private
Vampirism isn't a disease. It's a state of being.
But who knows. [A beat.] Does it heal everything? Cuts? Bruises?
Private
Basically, yeah.
[Again, she just shrugs it off.]
Sorry, I didn't mean to make vampirism sound bad...
Private
[A wry smile.]
No offense taken. This City simply has it in for my kind, is all.
Private
Private
[Smiling sweetly.]
If only all of them were as understanding as you, my dear.
Private
Private
A rarity in this City, indeed.

Private
And, unfortunately, most are cowardly and small-minded.
Private
[But she's a terrible judge of character, dontchaknow.]
Re: Private
[No. No, it is not.]
Re: Private
Private
[All the smiles.]
One way or another~
