You know, I'm just going to end up adopting three pets or something, and call them Nick, Alan and Jamie.

Nick'll have to be dog. A small, fierce black puppy that pees everywhere and barks a lot and keeps me up at night. Jamie'll be an equally small puppy, except he'll be adorable and loyal and so exciteable and he will always want to cuddle. Alternately, he could be a koala. And if I could get away with it, I'd get an owl and call him Alan.

All I know is that they won't be cats, because I'm not going to perpetuate that tradition. Just - pets.

And at least they wouldn't leave. Seeing how I'm not.

It's okay, I'm not going to jump straight into depression's arms. I'm...getting used to this. They come and go and I stay - suits me right for getting here late.
