123 Howls: Hot Spring Time!

[Mercy had a hot tub at the beach house, yes, but it really didn't compare to this place. After all the... everything... that had been going on over the past couple of months it was nice to end up here for a little pampering and relaxation. She'd been assigned a beautiful room, clean and cool with the most magnificently comfortable bed, and given a list of services available. She'd availed herself of a massage and then been shown the way to one of the more out-of-the-way hot springs.

She was there now, stripping off her robe to slide with an audible moan of delight into the hot water. The placement of the device only allowed glimpses of her as she did so, though anyone familiar with her tattoo would have recognized her. She let herself sink in up to her neck, resting her head on the comfortable ledge.]

Oh, this is the life. Can we keep this, please?

I don't know, the beach is more my style of relaxation. Plus I'm not sure I trust something that just suddenly shows up. Those spas? They're kind of messed up in the way that they weren't there yesterday.

What's the worse thing that can happen? Death? Torture? Had both of those happen here. And right now, I can say... this? Is sheer bliss.

I figure you need to really enjoy the good curses, because the bad ones are coming regardless.

[It takes Mara a bit, but soon she arrives, dropping a bag of clothes by the spring before undoing her robe and stepping into the spring. She actually gave a moan of pleasure as she sank beneath the surface.]

Truly a miracle. I could stand to have more days like this.

Couldn't we all. I hope this one lasts more than one day, though it's not likely.

I'm planning to be here as long as I can, that's for sure.

[Mercy smiled sleepily, but her tone was firm.]

This is my hot spring. You guys need to fool around somewhere else.

[Closing her eyes, Mara sinks a little further down beneath the surface.]

Well, we're certainly not lacking in them today.

Nope. Today we have all we could possible want.

You should find someone to enjoy this with who isn't me.

[Translation, Mara's back to finding someone for you to sleep with.]

Wish I could, Mara, wish I could.

But for now this will have to be enough.


[If only Mercy could be that easy with it. Right now she really wishes she could be like that.]

[Smiling, Mara closed the distance and motioned for Mercy to turn her back.]

Here, let me see if I can do something to relax you, hm?

[But Mercy was relaxed and willing to see what Mara wanted, so she turned her back.]

[Mara wasn't intending any funny stuff, just a nice relaxing massage and that's what she started, kneading the muscles between Mercy's shoulders with a surprisingly deft touch.]

I like days like this. Calm and serene. Although I can't help worry what's in store for after.

[Mercy relaxed into her touch, eyes closing again.]

We can't do anything about whatever's going to happen. We just know bad things eventually will. I say, we enjoy whatever good this place throws at us, because we get no choice about the bad.

Yeah. All sorts of people are skittish about the hot springs, but hey, what's the worse that can happen?

And so far it's just been wonderful.

[Mara bit back a comment about water monsters smiling as she did it. She wouldn't ruin the mood.]

Oh yes. I think I'm going to lounge here a while longer and then maybe go have another massage. That James had amazing hands.
