Crowded. Good thing the ticking's gone back to as normal as it gets, or there'd probably be riots.

Glad I can fly, anyway.

[ Welcome, nothing! This makes no sense. In God's name, Arthur, are you a knight of Camelot or aren't you? ]

You, there. Creature. [ So rude but asldkfjlaskdjf what else should he say? ] What manner of sorcery is this, and why have I been brought here?

[ Because clearly the magical creature will know all the answers. That's just how it works. ]

[ D-did it just get smart with him? The Hell? ]

'The City?' What city would that be? And how does it...'do this?'

[ ...Now that's curious. ]

A pterosaur. And a talking one, nonetheless.

I should clarify - a sentient pterosaur with the intellectual capacity to comprehend the significance of language. That's intriguing in itself; that you do it through telepathy is an equally fascinating prospect all its own.

I'd be utterly disappointed if it were a short one.

As I understand it, I'm a temporary visitor. It's certainly exciting; I've never had occasion to visit a parallel universe before.

Is that also a capability of being a pterosaur, or something else entirely?

Oh, it's not too bad. Big buttons.

[ He has a nice kind of childish-looking device. Not many buttons, and a string so he can carry it around in his mouth. ]

I don't know why people bother though. The streets are way more interesting.

How'd a bird like you get so big, anyway? Too much seed?

A pterosaur... quetzalcoatlus or hatzegopteryx most likely, too big to be anything else.

[Pause.]

How are you able to use this device? Most of your kind couldn't operate a toaster, much less a sensitive piece of equipment like this.
