I keep wondering if there's a reason these crazy everything-curses happen kinda regularly and...the other ones don't. I mean, I guess it's not exactly that, since it's a bunch of curses just all at once. But isn't it the only kind of thing that keeps happening in, you know, a way we can expect?

Sometimes I wonder if there's not just Deities but a machine attached to the clock or the carousel or something, something they use. Like...like an oven. You make a cake, but deities make curses uhhhh okay maybe that doesn't work but you know what I mean, right? So for one curse you put one thing in and for another you put something else, but for a ton of curses you just throw everything into the oven.

I mean...after all this time I still don't get it - the curses, I'd say some of them are fun even if other ones are pretty awful. Someone told me they thought it was maybe that the City kinda runs on upsetting people. [ ,_, pause ] But that doesn't explain the nice things - like the cake falling out of the sky day, or being turned into a little kid. I always have fun on those days. [ ...perhaps not so much for his poor bro/keeper.... ] And there was a school one - a few times - and I don't even usually like school but it was kinda fun anyway...

Just thinking, I guess. Who made this place? There's gotta be some kind of reason for it, right?

Riku get out of that shoe...

I believe the city runs more on emotions good and bad. I really have nothing to base that on however.

I like your analogy of the cake. It does feel like they just toss everything in the oven and watch to see what happens.

[Sounds like he has his hands full over there. ^^]

Yes, there has to be some kind of magic or 'an oven' like you said that causes the curses. I have never been able to find the source though. I imagine it could be in the underground some where.

[Ah this feeling! Eagle knows it well! He had to pull one of his cats down from the top of his Christmas tree. ]

A friend of mine can use magic with the help of a sword so I know exactly what you mean.

I really don't think I know all of the deities. The most prominent one seems to be Laszlo, but there are so many others and I never managed to catch all of their names.

[At the continued shuffling... ]

Are you alright over there?

[They would make cute ornaments. ]

Laszlo is the Doctor who often appears on the Network wearing sunglasses. He is an older gentleman with grey hair. You might have seen him around? It seems like he usually handles the trades and day to day things.

[It is difficult to keep them all straight. Even Eagle who has been here for nearly two years now still doesn't know them all. ]

And what is Riku?

[He can't actually see that Riku is a cat via audio. ]

A teacher? I always thought of him as more of a police officer for some reason. I think he is actually something of a scientist though.

[Cue cute kitty talk!]

I can't help but do the same thing with our two cats. They do still act like kittens but they are fully grown by now. Still, it can be difficult to remember that.

I believe he does that on purpose. All of the deities seems to speak in riddles and they rarely bother to just say what they want you to know. You mostly have to guess.

[Well, Eagle can say it for he has long thought some of the deities see themselves as parents instruction errant children, trying to led everyone toward a goal but not wanting to say just what that goal is. That was for the 'children' to figure out.]

Oh that's true. I doubt the cats really care at all if they are thought of as cats or kittens. Though they do seem to remember their names well enough.

I don't think I've ever heard of it like a cake. That's kind of weird.

But I dunno, I guess that I always assumed that the deities made it. Never really thought about it. Never really mattered.

[OoC: FYI, in his last entry, Demyx referred to Sora by name. Milestone!]

Well, I'm alive here, so I guess I never really needed to know why, or who was behind it. I guess that it still doesn't really matter to me.

What would you do if it was someone else?

That's an interesting theory. It's the first that someone has compared the curses to cakes. [He lightly chuckled.] Still, I wonder myself as well.

Perhaps a further research pertaining to the clock system may be in order.

[It was an odd analogy but he did follow along, giving small "hm." responses here and there to let him know he was comprehending.]

True, those have been involved in plenty of the major events that have occurred here. I don't recall it ever stop... [He paused as he fell into a deep thought.]

...moving. [Had it been going even during the sand incident? The invasions? And even so he was certain those in the past have thought of such idea and made attempts to destroy it... or have they? He wasn't so sure now.]
