[ The feed opens on plush bedding, the low angle obscuring the people in the bed-- the device seems to be propped up on a nightstand. The sheets rustle as someone stretches and yawns before sitting up, clutching the blanket to his chest. ...Wait, his?

The man has strawberry blond hair and long limbs with long fingers, evident as he rubs a hand over his face. It's at this point that he realizes something is wrong. ]

What the... [ Apparently surprised at the sound of his voice, he claps a hand over his mouth and tentatively places the other at his throat, finding an Adam's apple. His eyes go wide. Trying not to disturb the other (still sleeping) occupant of the bed, he leans into a position where he can see himself in the mirror. The face reflected back at him is even more shocked than before as his fingers poke and pinch his skin. A half-curious, half-scared look unfolds, and he carefully lifts up the sheet to peer underneath. Terrified by what he's seen, he curls up into a ball and pulls the covers over his head, shaking.

At no point does he realize he's been broadcasting. ]

[ His head pops out from the covers, eyes wide with horror. ] Charl--

[ Quick as a snake, his arm reaches out and slams the device down on the nightstand, making the image go black.]

Uh... thanks.

[Nope. That won't work. She's suspicious, now, and frowning. Not that it matters, what with the device knocked over.] How do you know my name?

[ Damnit. A rustle as s/he grabs the device, holding it close to her/his face so as not to show anything more than necessary. S/he whispers, ]

Charlie, it's me. Pepper.

Oh, my God. [Now that she knows, she recognizes her/him a little bit.]

Yeah. Damn curse.

You should be okay at midnight. Um. Do you need anything?

God, uh, clothes? But I'm at Tony's, so I should be ok there.

[ A blush as s/he realizes what s/he's just admitted to. ]

At Tony's, hmm? [Awww. Charlie's amused and smirking slightly.] You'll be alright, then.

Oh hush you.

[Tony stirs from all the activity, groaning and turning onto his side to spoon against Pepper.

He frowns when she feels-- different. Lean muscle and angles rather than soft curves.]

Are you working out, Pepper...

[He mutters, being too tired to open his eyes.]

[ Pepper practically squeals, which sounds entirely different like this. ]

Ah, [ Ahem ] Tony...

And I think you have a cold. Ew.

[He promptly rolls away, taking all the covers with him.]

There's Tylenol in the nightstand.

[ Ok, s/he does NOT want to be exposed right now. S/he turns toward Tony, using her/his newfound strength to tug the covers back. ]

Not a cold, Tony, a curse. I think. I hope.

What?

[He finally sits up, blinks blearily at her--

...I definitely need coffee. Right now. An entire pot of it.

[ S/he buries her/his face in her/his hands. ]

God, this is not how I wanted this morning to go.

Uuuh- well, I've had more interesting morning surprises before? If you can believe it.

[He rubs at his eyes, sitting up properly to stretch and pull on some clothes.

Then he looks back at Pepper for a moment.]

No, I believe it. Have you forgotten whose job it was to escort your morning surprises out of the house?

[ It feels good to smile, even if it's small and halfhearted. ]

Excuse me if I'm not exactly in a position to agree with you on that. [ S/he sighs. ] Can I borrow some clothes, at least? I don't think mine will fit right now.

[A clap and his closet opens, revealing an expansive collection.]

[ Pepper scrambles out of bed, heading straight for the closet. S/he knows there's a pair of yet to be tailored trousers that ought to be a bit longer than the rest of Tony's pants, accommodating the fact that s/he's currently several inches taller than him. Once she finds those she puts on a grey shirt and rolls the sleeves up to the elbows so it's not as obvious that they're too short. ]

No, this doesn't make you bisexual, because that would mean accepting that I'm a man, which I'm not. ...Appearances aside.

Hey- are you taller than me? That is so not fair.

[Tony is just gonna lounge in his tank top and sweats tyvm.]

[ Well excuse her if s/he doesn't want to look like a hobo.

S/he walks over and places a kiss on Tony's head. ]

I think it's perfectly fair.

[Tony looks up at her-- him. Her. Him.]

Well. That doesn't happen every day.

[He feels like this is the mistletoe curse again and he had to kiss like five dudes.]

If you hate it so much, go put on your armor. The built-in lifts might make us even.

[He's joking, of course, but god damn it why did Pepper have to be a taller dude than he is.]

Word of advice, the devices don't do much for dignity.

I've figured that out. Thanks for the tip, though, I'll make sure to be more careful next time I wake up in the wrong body. Naked.
