[The feed turns on to show Klarth resting against a tree, clearly exhausted from walking in circles for a couple of hours and running from certain creatures.]

Ah, that's it. I need a rest. Goodness, every which way I go is a completely new labyrinth. Which brings up the question, has anyone actually managed to find a way out of here?

[He slowly inhaled and then exhaled to catch his breath before pulling out some photos from his pouch, smiling to each one especially the last. One was of Tyr as a child, another of Rita dressed up as a princess, another of Tyr and Riou together as well as a rather endearing and rare photo of Toph. The only picture that he found that was directly relevant to him was this photo of Mirald. As if it was meant to fall into his lap that day. The summoner sheepishly smiled almost embarrassed that he's asking this as he addressed his viewers again.

Perhaps there may be more photos of her.]

Ah.. You know... I've given it a bit of a thought and it wouldn't be so bad to hold onto a few of these after all. If there are still any photos around of me that you've found, please let me know. I would appreciate it greatly.

[She starts shuffling through some--and there is one of Klarth, young and watching his mother. Rita doesn't notice the resemblance enough to recognize it at a glance, though.]

Ah, all right. Then don't wo--hm. [He paused as he watched Rita stare at one picture.]

And now she studies the picture, then looks up at Klarth again. There's obviously an age difference making it hard to say for certain, but...]

This isn't you, is it?

[And she holds it up for him to see.]

W-What is it?

[He made a face before she showed him the picture.]

[Slowly his expression soften and then somber as he stared at it with an uneasy smile.]

Yeah... that's me. When I was still a brat. Heh, odd what pictures this place conjures, huh? I never expected to see that one coming.

Really?

[She looks at the picture again, then back to him, puzzled at his expression.]

So who's that you're spying on there?

My mother. [A pained look slightly hidden under his hat as recalled that day.]

Mother? [Her eyes widen just a little, and she takes another look. She's curious about Klarth's reaction, though.] Was there something going on?

[He gave a small shake of his head.]

No, nothing. More so, that day was just like any other.

[The same old quiet house. Lonely and sad, yet she never complained and loved him even so...]

Huh? What, it was always like this? Why?

[She wouldn't have thought much about the picture, but Klarth's reaction has her interest piqued.]

[She wasn't going to drop it, was she? Well, he couldn't blame her. He assumed that part of it is to have a little revenge from earlier. And really there was no need to hide it.]

My father was a passionate and ambitious scholar as well and has always taken favor to his research over his own family. You could guess the rest...

[Something... he wanted to avoid doing but alas... he was his son after all.]

So...He was never around.

[That seems like the logical conclusion. And while Rita was too busy for anything but research for a long time, she feels much different now. Sure, research is important, but so are friends. Family shouldn't be any different.

For that reason, her answer's a blunt one.]

What a lame guy.

Yep. Left my mother and I on our own for as long as I could remember and all for chasing his dreams.

[He gave a little sigh and then weakly laughed to her comment.]

Very lame indeed.

[She scowls and makes a fist, showing exactly what she thinks of Klarth's father--not caring that she doesn't know anything else about the guy, besides that he must've hurt his family by abandoning them.]

What an idiot! He gives researchers a bad name, being all irresponsible like that.

[He appreciated her anger. Even so, he still... He gathered the strength to agree.]

Ha ha ha, truly. The biggest idiot to exist. [And the most admirable one.]

[She nods her agreement, and holds up the picture.]

Exactly. Anyway, do you want this? It doesn't seem like a very good memory, but...

[He gave it a thought and softly smiled.]

Yeah, I'll keep it. It'll be a good reminder. [To not be as foolish as him.]

[Without knowing that, Rita assumes it's as a reminder of his mother.]

Then I'll come by and drop it off, okay?
