6th spell ~ [Video]
[On the way to work, Merlin ended up finding a picture, which he is now holding in front of him and really not looking too happy about it. In fact, he seems to be trying really hard to keep his expression composed, and shakes his head just slightly.]
This place really does enjoy trying to give away your secrets, or things you'd rather not just talk about, doesn't it?
It's already getting irritating.
[Finally, he actually looks at the phone.]
I take it more of you are finding... pictures from your life?
((OOC: The full photo post is here and has a bit of a description for the one he found.))

I'd guessed as much. She seems really lovely.

[And Sir Weatherby flys into the frame just as she says it, having done the errand a few times today. He lands on her shoulder and she chuckles, reaching up to stroke over the owl's feathers as she asks.]
You must miss her and really, there's no point in me keeping it. Actually, I was wondering if you could help me suss out who— [And behold the picture of Gaius.] —this bloke is? It was sort of underneath the other one, picked up both by accident. I know the chances are small, but.

[Now that gives quite the pang of longing, because Gaius is the one he's been seeing every day since moving away from Ealdor.]
Ah, my guardian. I'm not sure I mentioned his name to you yet...

[She glances back at the photo, curious.]
Your guardian?

I'm pretty sure he didn't use it for the twenty years between the ban of magic and my arrival, actually.

[... she can't even imagine it. Once she got her wand in her hand, that was it. She can't go without it.]
Bloody hell.

It's... a little difficult for me to understand, but I guess it's admirable in its own way.

[She glances down at her desk to a photo of herself she'd come across, one of her doing just that with Neville and Luna. It tugs a wry smile into her lips.]
I'd like to meet him, I think. Gaius. Though Godric forbid he ever turn up in the City permanently. We do get visitor days, though.

He'd probably enjoy my name being used as profanity.

[And then she snorts with laughter.]
Would he? Is that a good thing?

[This as she starts slotting the photos into an envelope, thanks to the patient clicking from Sir Weatherby at her ear.]

[Ginny seals the envelope and writes Merlin's name across the front with a quill, habit more than anything else.]
Just don't forget to invite me along when you do.
[This as she hands the envelope to the tawny owl, who takes it in his beak and flies off in a rush of wings to the open window off-screen.]
He'll be along in a bit, by the way.

I will.
Thank you.

You don't think owl post is odd? Have you got it at home?
