[Settled back on her couch, Carla is fussing with a split lip with her tongue absentmindedly and shuffling through a series of photos like it's a hand of cards.]

I've got a Rosella barbecue, a cowboy with a gun in his eye, a few pairs of little boys getting up close and personal with each other, practically autoerotic. And... [She holds up a picture of M. Eames.] On a scale of 1 to 7, where are we going with this?

[She clearly hasn't accounted for all the pictures she was holding, but she puts the rest aside, moving on to another set.]

The rest are mine. [She holds one up briefly.] I haven't seen some of these in over half a decade. [She doesn't sound entirely pleased about that, and sits back again with a frown to look through them.] They've got a date with my garbage disposal.

[As one last distracted note she adds,] I didn't pick up anything of yours this time, Rapahel, I'm disappointed.

[She displays the picture she's found.]

Do you want it? Or should I add it to the pile to be disposed of?

[It is a little tempting to Carla to not show up, just to fuck with her, but she convinces herself to go and sit and wait.]

[If there would be one way to truly annoy Cersei, it would have been to do just that... And a Lannister does always pay their debts. Of course, this does go both ways.]

[Carla is helplessly antagonistic, always picking fights, but she has a curiosity about this picture. It's folded in half when she takes it from her pocket, only the white showing as she holds it up between two fingers.]

You look like you're about to bite his face off.

[She hopes so, anyway, and that approval is probably obvious in her tone.]

[Her eyes narrow for a moment, flickering to the image.]

My brother. Allow us to say that sometimes he acts without thinking, and I was annoyed with him.

[Brother. Uh-huh. She raises an eyebrow lazily, but she just offers the picture out.]

Clearly.

Yes. Clearly.

[Carla just smiles at her. She looks a bit too smug about this, all things considered, and she pushes up off the edge of the fountain, her hands settling into the pockets of her jeans. Maybe it would be polite to say something before walking off... but apparently that's not happening today...]

[Cersei simply stands there and watches as she does, as if not believing that it would be so simple. Life never was. A part of her was still waiting for the catch even as she left.]
