025 ▌Un to Intentional Recording [video]
[There is what can really only be described as an array of absolutely ridiculous things around a clear area clearly meant for someone to be sitting, only there isn't someone there. And then there is. Aaaaand then there isn't. It's rifling through the desk behind him that he finds the device on.]
Normally I have a bit of a problem working on one project at a time but this... This is, this is maddening. Constant ticking - I can see where it makes a man a bit wonky. Tell you what though, excellent for composing. Never skips a beat.

Extra special, me. Nothing else similar. [Except for the other two of him here, which doesn't count. And Jenny. Clearly she's part Time Lord but he's yet to establish how fully that can happen with such ramshackle reproduction. Anyway.]
no subject
Extra special me. Keyed to find just you. [She's pretty sure that none of those matter. She could find him. She's not sure how. She doesn't understand it but she's beginning to understand a little bit of how impossible what she did before was.]
no subject
It was very impossible, Rose Tyler. Quite impossible. Not the sort of impossible he throws around when he's looking at something that's happening and saying that it can't happen when clearly it can, impossible. Impossible so that he didn't even try, impossible. There's a very faint, thin smile that starts after her comment.]
Special indeed. Key for a Time Lord.
no subject
Nope not a Time Lord. Not another regeneration. Just you.
[She wants him to know that he's special. Out of all the regenerations and companions and daughters, he's special.]
no subject
Just me. [Almost a whisper at this point, not that he's been speaking loudly at all this whole time.] Thank you. [It's another few moments of staying in that position before he finally lets his head drop a bit and rest on her shoulder for a moment, near the base of her neck. Still standing, still holding her close, just being close to and around and reminded.]
no subject
Just you. [She presses a kiss against his head then goes back to resting her head against his, content to let him rest against her as long as he likes.]
no subject
But he does straighten up again eventually. There is a somewhat considerable difference in height that makes that a little bit of a stretch, and it's harder to talk to her.]
I'm glad you don't take no for an answer. It makes things much more straightforward.
no subject
I'll remember that. 'Doctor likes when I don't take no for an answer'. Very straightforward. You can always count on me pushin' 'til no turns into yes or 'til no isn't an option anymore.
no subject
Awful lot of determination for one person.
no subject
Special person, me.
[She's trying to reassure him that all that determination won't burn out.]
no subject
Oh, very. The specialest. Specialest Time Lord specialist.

M'really goin' to have to get a bigger plaque at this rate. [She tip toes up a bit, pressing a kiss to his cheek. She slides her hand down his arm to his other hand, fingertips brushing against the ring on his finger. It's a little gesture, a reminder of the promise she made him: forever.]
Come on. Time for the next stop on the tour of planet DoctorandRosevania. [she tugs at his hands pulling him toward the bed because she's a bit afraid with the way he looks he's going to fall down from exhaustion or stress or both.]
no subject
[Because he's not going to stop giving them to her, obviously. He drops his head to look down at their hands at the gesture, watching fingers entwine and such. It's the sort of promise you always hope someone will stick to, but quietly and without really holding them to it too much if they don't. The fact that she's clearly putting it on a different level is taking some time to hit properly.
He shuffles forward with her without too much resistance, which probably means her assessment isn't too far off the mark.] This seems like it might be a short tour.
no subject
[she smiles at his words and nods a bit.]
Small planet but worth visitin'
[She sits down on the bed, scooting across but still holding his hands.]
Promise you'll enjoy this part of the tour. Haven't had a complaint yet.
no subject
[That gets a bit of a smile in return as he moves to sit on the bed as well.]
Most of them are. The planets. And the tours, actually. Sometimes. It depends on how much of it is boring.
no subject
She piles pillows at the head of the bed and grabs an obnoxious, bright, pink, faux fur blanket from the foot. She drapes it over her shoulders and sort of reclines on the bed, her fingers still entwined with his. She's not willing to let go of him anytime soon and honestly, if she falls asleep holding onto him, he might have to pry himself away from her.]
Well this is goin' to be one of your favourite planets and tours.
no subject
That is a very pink, fur blanket you have there, Rose. He watches her move and scoots up the bed until he's sort of facing her on his side with his head on some of the pillows she piled up, still holding hands.]
You cold? [Because of the blanket. He's exhausted, physically, emotionally, the ticking is going to stop in seventeen minutes and he's already starting to feel his relief echo back at him from then and he's not sure what to do about any or all of it. It's not resolved - it can't be, there isn't an answer for it - and there's not much more that can be said right now partly because he is unwilling to say it. He's settled for lying very close to her, hands entwined.]
Getting there, yeah. You'll have to tell me what makes it so special.
no subject
Mmmm yes but also very tactile which is the reason for getting it. She shakes her head at his question and slides closer to him, one leg draping over his as she moves close enough their bodies are nearly touching.]
It's sorta somethin' you've got to experience. [She whispers this just before leaning in to kiss him. It's a slow, languid kiss that says they've got lots of time. Nothing to hurry about here.]
no subject
They haven't really got enough room to hold all four hands between them, so he lets go of one and lets it slide up her back and basically do the same thing he was just doing with the fur blanket, with her hair. (Which sounds horrible, but it's just a running-fingers-through-watching-mild-awe-appreciation sort of thing.) It has the added effect of pulling her upper body a little bit more towards him, not that there's that much distance to cover. But, he keeps the kiss at the same pace, calming himself, his thoughts, his anxieties, fears, all go in the process. This can have the unintended effect of her catching as much or as little of that as you want, he's just in such a vulnerable state at the moment it seemed like something that might happen because he forgot.]
Got a lot of that already. Experiences.
no subject
She's taking her cue from him as far as the kissing goes. She reasons it's the best way to make certain that he's getting what he needs right now. Her free hand slides through his hair, down to his neck, dipping down into his collar. She's a little surprised by what she does get from him, simply because he's usually more in control and not broadcasting anything to her until things are much more physical. The fear and anxiety only surprise her in the strength that he feels them. She's known he's afraid of losing her for a while but it's the fear of losing everything else that surprises her. In response to all his fear and anxiety, it's almost instinct to send back feelings of love, faith and determination, reassuring him that she will find him. If she weren't determined to stay here, and to keep him here before, she certainly is now.]
Hmmm so you goin' to take over this tour, Doctor? [It's said in a whispery, teasing tone of voice between kisses]
no subject
Long as the tour guide doesn't mind.
[He doesn't really wait too much for verbal confirmation though - everything up until now and the feelings he's getting from her feel like enough of that. The slow and languid is nice but a bit passive for how he's feeling at the moment, despite how much she has been able to do in calming things down. It's definitely not to the same desperate level he'd been at a little while ago in the hammock, but to a point it is fairly obvious that there's a connection being made.]
