[Estelle is well aware of the birds and the bees, how babies are made and everything. She's actually well educated in such things despite her innocent nature, though knowing is half the battle, right? It means she won't get curious for herself and accidentally scar herself in some way.

Though the City has decided that she's ignorant of such matters. To the point that it decided to change the very book she was reading into a rather... educational scene. Sure, she was reading a romance novel, but she always makes sure to choose rather clean ones. She's been warned of the City and what books it may throw at her...

...and now reading, she had a bit of difficulty deciphering what this current passage was, so she read it outloud.]

"He came back to my mouth and I kissed him, tasting myself which he tasted too."

What does that mean?

[She reads on…]

"I kissed him back and kissed his bare chest all the way down to the top of his… jeans…"

[Okay, this isn't what she was reading, or what she thought it was about, but she's rather sure she didn’t pick up that kind of book.]

"He moaned, stared at me wanting to take his co—"

[And with her face now completely flush, she slams her book shut and throws it across the table. Then looking towards her device, notices it's on and meekly moves in to shut it off. Oh, why of all things was that just broadcast. Curse her luck…

[She sighs, not entirely sure how to deal with this, but she still is wearing an apologic expression.]

[She doesn't look particularly convinced, but she's not here to give lessons in assertiveness to virgin princesses.]

[She nods at that, a slight smile appearing on her face.]

Intimacy can be characterized by or involving warm friendship or a personally close or familiar association or feeling, correct?

[Carla is actually silent for a moment, part of that definition reminding her of something she has been having trouble classifying.]

Yeah. You can have that deeper than you'll ever feel sex.

[The point was not to conflate the two.]

[Well, talking about sex is awkward, but she stays calm, her voice and expression both soft.]

Can you? I don't mean to point out my opinion once more, but I always thought you... fell in love like that before you did any sort of physical act.

[A pause as she looks down.]

Am I in a minority for thinking that?

You aren't, it's just not true. They teach the love story to women to control them. Women aren't allowed their own natural feelings, whether that's a desire for sex or lack thereof, until a man comes and tells them they're wanted and they don't have a choice in it anymore.

A... choice. Is... is it really like that?

[Her words got to Estelle... hard. Control. Choices. It's been a battle for her to gain control of herself, make her own choices. Is this even something...?

But... still. Sure, she was raised being told she was to get married before even thinking stuff like this...]

[Carla gives her a curious look. Well.]

Yeah. It's your choice.

[She nods, showing gratitude.]

My name is Estellise and I thank you for speaking to me about this. [Even if it did start off as teasing.]

[Carla wouldn't describe herself as pleasant.]

I'm not entirely sure if I would call it lucky, but maybe I am to have met you!

[Sorry, this girl doesn't understand sarcasm all that well.]

[Carla works at the library... but she's really not going to bring that up.]

Maybe I will do just that. Perhaps a fantasy novel would be good to read next, oh, or maybe these 'science-fiction' novels I have heard about. I have been intending to read 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' since it seems to be a popular novel from a world called "Earth".

[So a library visit may be in order, assuming she can find the book she just mentioned. Usually it's more or less, random book pops out at her, the summary looks good so she reads it.]

[Carla has been here long enough that she can... accept that idea. Her world-view had already been shaken by the appearance of old magicks in her verse as well.]

What's your world, then?

[She shakes her head.]

I am from a world called Terca Lumireis, a world run on a substance called aer, though before I was brought here, we were in the process of converting into mana since there has been a great disturbance in the aer due to a... [Oh, what would she call it] ...a creature that had showed up after it had broken out of the seal that was created in the days of old. Though from what my friends told me, we were successful.

So the magic didn't really surprise you around here, then?

Everyone in my world is able to use magic with the aid of a stone called a Blastia, so no, it didn't at all.

Maybe the Sci-Fi will be more interesting then.

[Her voice is a little dry, she accepts magic, but she's not terribly fond of it. It's caused nothing but trouble in her life.]

I believe it will be, at least it will involve something very new to me. [And that excites her!

Though she notes the dryness of her voice. Is magic a bad topic to be on? If so, she won't speak of it anymore. Part of her wants to pry, but she hardly knows her. That's hardly good manners.]
