[Yuri is in the Square today, arm holding a giant paper bag full of groceries. He's munching on an apple, his sword tucked safely in his belt. His morality is fully intact, thank you very much. No vigilante sprees or anything of that nature.

His hair's been getting long, so it's tied back in a ponytail. Ah...one day he's going to just take his sword and chop it all off and let the ends fly away in the breeze in a garden of selenia.

But for once, he is just enjoying the day. No fights, no arguments, no curses stabbing him in the stomach - just him and his apple.

Whoa--!

[Yuri sidesteps, but in the process drops his bag of groceries. The apples and cupcakes spill over, sad and squashed.]

[errandry]

[ at the last possible moment, he manages to twist-flip ridiculously out of the way, making a sort of kick-stumbling landing—but Yuri's already dodged, and the groceries make a tragic spill. ]

Damn it. Sorry, I'll p— [ ... ] Lowell?

Hey, Kazu. Good to see you're as observant as always.

[He gathers his bags and what can be salvaged from the spill.]

And still wearing that hat.

Hey, nobody expects the wayward swordsman!

[ immediately, Kazu's on his knees to sift through the mess as well. ]

Doesn't sound like you've changed a lot either.

[And when Kazu's close enough, he reaches out in an attempt to pull the beanie down over Kazu's eyes.]

You're in the Square- you should expect some people at least.

I was, I just missed you behind the other g—oi!

[ it's been a while and he isn't expecting it, though his hand's quick enough to clap over Yuri's as soon as the hat goes down. ]

The other what? I didn't quite catch that one.

[errandry]

... So you were shopping, huh.

[vesperian]

Yeah. You know, sometimes you run out of food-- and you need more?

[errandry]

I know, I know. Just wasn't expecting you to be the type to do it.

[vesperian]

And what's that supposed to mean?

[errandry]

Doesn't that other guy still do all your laundry?

[vesperian]

Only when he gets sick of me leaving them on the floor, I guess.

And he cooks for you too.

Yeah-- no. If he did, I wouldn't be standing here right now.

—oh yeah. Guess you've gotta fend for yourself somehow.

[ so that's all the groceries they can salvage. He glances down at them. ]

You missing anything now?

[vesperian]

The cupcakes, but I'll just make a fresh batch. Want some?
