For the most part. You have to make sure not to put your hands where they shouldn't be, that sort of thing, but it's all fairly preventable.

Mistakes happen, but a lot of times, things could be prevented or could be stopped before they get that bad.

The desert? Pretty well. Eames and I had a Tusken Raider sneak up on us so I had to stab it in the leg, but I was able to do long-range for everything else.
