[ When Percy wakes up feeling like P. Diddy, goes out and hits the City, the gigantic rainbow overhead today is hard to miss. And just his luck, he's seen the likes of it before when he met the goddess Iris. He doesn't have any drachmas on him but maybe she can reach here and help him get in touch with people back home. She's nice enough to do him the favor. Better yet, it might somehow be his ticket outta here.

So as he starts making his way towards the end of the rainbow that's in the forests, he figures he can collect all-natural nuts to make up for the gold on the way or something. After a while of squirrel-defying tree-climbing: ]

O Iris, Goddess of the Rainbow, accept my offering.

[ He tosses nuts at the rainbow. It's not working. Ugh. What was Fleecy's direct number again? ]

O Fleecy, do me a solid. Show Annabeth on the Argo II.

[ Still not working, so he keeps walking and tossing nuts. For a while there, Percy starts to think this might end up a nightmare where he finds a lot of vegan twinkies piled up at the other end of the rainbow, glinting in the light due to some toxic gluten-free component, but on the off chance it's not, he'll keep trying his luck. ]

[Charlie's decided maybe it's time to investigate this. She's not cursed but she's been following people into the forrest to make sure they're okay and when she runs into Percy....well...]

[ Finally something less than lame happens and a random nut catches fire right after bouncing off an invisible wall. ]

...That's not supposed to happen.

[ Maybe some sort of organic wheat germ gave Iris indigestion and that's her way of saying NOT TODAY. Clearly this means he has to try again, leaving the invisible wall with more than a few options:

1. Dodge the ballistic organic missiles
2. Destroy them before they hit
3. Get hit ohhh snap
4. Take Percy out before he does you
5. NONE OR ALL OF THE ABOVE because this is all in his head anyway ]

Ow. What the...? Seriously? [Nope. Not going to happen. She throws up a wall of heat to keep the nuts from hitting her, a small frown on her face. The nuts turn to ash within 6 inches of Charlie and she pulls it back slightly, keeping it away from Percy.] Percy? It's Charlie.

[This is just...all manner of Not Good.] Put the nuts down and talk to me, man.

What the Hell are you doing?

[ That doesn't sound like Iris. It doesn't even sound like Fleecy, but he turns around and there she is. Her words are echoing weirdly, but Percy catches the gist of it: Whoa, hello. Ding dong? ]

No thanks. I'm still not convinced they're good for me.

[ Pause. ]

What's not good for you, exactly?

[ Oh. A unicorn he doesn't know. He's never tried to talk to them before. ]

Yeah, you know.

[ ...And even in this state, Percy's got to wonder why is he discussing this with a unicorn. Might as well feed it and make sure it gets back to whatever pasture it got out of. ]

What do you normally eat? I can try finding apples or something.
