002 - Dictated

Ah.. hello. I think I understand a bit more about this device and how it works, now, so I thought I would try it out.

[He pauses here, as if considering what to say.]

It appears I will be staying for a while, so I should introduce myself. My name is Ukitake Juushirou. ...If it sounds familiar to you, perhaps we should meet to try to find a way home.

If not, that's all right. I'm always willing to meet new people.

[An intake of breath, as if he's remembering something.]

Oh yes... I do have a question. Is being in the company of others really the only way to make the ticking sound stop? It can be a bit difficult to sleep.

Hi, Ukitake! I'm Charlie. And yes, company of others helps. Or get a pet. I have two cats and a room-mate so the ticking is very manageable on my end.
charring: (and she is happy again)

There are always places hiring and working with others helps the ticking, too.

If you do, that's some serious luck on your side, Ukitake. Best be prepared, though. And I'm pretty sure most places of business are used to people just vanishing when they go home, so it's not like that's an issue. Right?

I know how you feel there.

So where are you from?

Maybe you should find somebody to sleep with.
dignity_misery: (have you ever felt alone)

An obvious answer to a simple problem.
dignity_misery: (better do it sure)

[personal profile] dignity_misery 2012-03-17 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
I clearly don't.

[Not a lot of class, this lady.]
dignity_misery: (does anything matter to you)

A great way to meet new people.
child_radical: (Do I look like Charlie Brown?)

Being with people or pets is the only to do so.
likeabreath: (Ho hum)

Pets work if you're not so keen on a roomie.

Can't honestly say that I've heard of it.

[Hesitation noted, if only because she does the same thing sometimes.]
crowing: (weaker men would lose themselves。)

Nice to meet ya.

Hello. My name is Sephiroth.

I would recommend a pet, as others have. [He's scanned the other responses.] I adopted mine from an animal shelter, and it's rather easy to find work here.

A pleasure.

I myself have never had a companion animal before arriving here. It does lessen the ticking, and since I live alone, it's preferable to the alternative.
