[The number 3.14 has been driving Dawn crazy today. So instead of stay at work where nothing added up to 3.14 she decided to do one of her favorite things and go shopping. And when nothing added up to 3.14 there, she decided to split the three from the fourteen and go from there.

After a full day of shopping, Dawn is currently standing in front of the make-up counter at the store looking a little bit perplexed, maybe kind of stressed out. Shopping is usually something that's calming, like a creature comfort, and it has been for most of the day... until now. Her voice sounds over the network.]

So, so far today I've bought myself three new pairs of shoes, three new tops, three new jeans slash trousers and three new pajama pants slash shorts. That's twelve things and now I'm stuck because for some reason I only want to go to fourteen items but that messes with my whole buying three of everything. Another three and it'll be fifteen.

I mean what's a girl supposed to do? Do I leave the whole three thing I have going on and go with fourteen or do I stick with three and make it fifteen? Stupid decisions. It's like there's a chocolate and vanilla cake sitting in front of you but you can't have both. You can only have one. How do you choose? I mean... chocolate and vanilla... right there!

Totally not cool, math... totally not cool.

Both slices of cake? Cause it was more of an imaginary cake in my mind. Cake analogies are the best kind of analogies cause of the whole imaginary yum factor.

The math I remember was so much less annoying than this. Is it just me or are all math teachers ever really boring? I never had a find the fun kind of math teacher. Maybe all the boring ones just found their way to Sunnydale. Which... kind of ironic since Sunnyhell was never really all that boring.

Ohmigosh you are officially the most genius-like person I've ever met. I mean I've known some smarty-pants types here and there but you just topped them all. I'm so reorganizing and doing it your way.

But then the number fourteen goes out the window which is totally purpose defeat-y of the whole three point fourteen thing going on in my head. By the way, I'm ignoring the point cause it just over complicates things. Three and fourteen, so much easier... in theory.

Interesting counts, I guess. It's closer to fun than boring is... by about two hershey bars. And not the whole bar either, just the tiny little squares that it breaks off into.

I guess I'm in that really odd and rare percentage of people who enjoy math just for the numbers and equations.

Yeah, I like it when the teachers come up with jaunty tunes to teach with and you know that would have helped with the math stuff. English was fun too. And History. I was good at those, remembering facts, reading books. You like to read?

That? No, nothing wrong with that. Though I'm more of a late-night Ebay bidder myself. I'm talking about the fucking three and fourteen vanilla chocolate cake bullshit. This may be a dystopian hellscape, but nobody's told you you can only eat one cake.

3.14 is the numerical equivalent for the Pi in math. Also, today is 3/14.
