008 Dark Towers Destroyed; video/action;

After speaking with Doctor Brown and Rapunzel-san, I wanted to know more about the school here. Is anyone teaching there? [As he's speaking, Ken's on his way to the library to read up on angels. Particularly, Michael and Lucifer. As he walks, people seem to be keeping their distance. He doesn't notice the lack of being accidentally brushed up against, however, and just keeps walking.] Some people, like Rapunzel-san, come in with very little knowledge about the technology and could use a class to help them adjust. And Doctor Brown and I noticed the guides are a little out of date.

[A person nearly runs right into Ken - clearly in a hurry - but somehow, someway, they're suddenly walking around him instead. He stops for a second, confused - that looked awkward - then goes right back to business.]

Does anyone have a recent guide? Or would anyone be interested in helping us put together an updated version?

I don't know when - [He cuts off here, finally noticing people aren't just avoiding him, it's like they can't get very close at all, their bodies forced around him. Puzzled and confused he watches for a second, then cuts the feed off.]

[ooc: Pretend this was posted earlier today, and anyone who wants to interact with his bubble space personally is welcome to. It's fairly large, considering how much he keeps to himself.]

I wrote a guide. Not much about machines and stuff, though. [ You know, technology. ]

You think? I was hoping it would be easy for people to remember.

I could add some stuff to it, though. I didn't know anything about technical stuff when I showed up either. Microwaves are awesome, though. [ Almost instant food! ]

There are many classes available at the university, yes. It's a rather simple task to sign up and begin teaching, in fact.

You can find it on the network, I believe; and not all classes are at university level, you'll find all grades and levels. If you can't find anything, I would go down there and talk with the registration office. They're rather helpful.

I find that youth hasn't very much but a lack of experience standing in the way; and you only get experience by doing, you know.

How long? Two winters. But I showed up right at the beginning of the first one.

Well, there's this communicator device thingy. And everyone I know was really fascinated by the electric lights. And the plastic money, that took some time to get used to. [ what is a debit card idk ]

That's rather understandable. There are many guides -- I think I would have appreciated one that explained how the devices worked when I had arrived. I don't have much experience with Muggle toys, and it did prove to be a bit of a nuisance at first.

I don't bother with them, really. Or with the plastic money cards or anything. It's like going to another country where everyone speaks your language, but most of it doesn't make sense.

No, more like... well, you and I, we seem to be speaking the same language. But our worlds are probably really different. Most people seemed to already know about telephones and electric and all that. We don't have that where I come from.

It's the year right after the Hundred Year War, but I bet that doesn't mean anything to you.

Nope. I'm thinking that was a different Hundred Years War.

Pretty different, I'm thinking.

Well, I'm from the Earth Kingdom. And then there's the Fire Nation and the North and South Poles. There used to be some airbender temples too, which I guess was their country, sort of. But no one lives there anymore.

It's someone who can control wind and air. My friend Aang who's here can do it.

Well, I guess. I think earthbending is better, though.

Water and fire. And then variations, like some waterbenders can bend blood, and some earthbenders -- just me, so far -- bend metal.

No, I'm a platypusbear. Of course I'm human.

Your world must be pretty boring.

No place like home and all that stuff. I'm glad to be gone from my old house, but leaving the whole world was a bigger step than I was interested in, personally.

Well, it's --

[ She's quiet for a moment. ] My parents wouldn't let me do anything for myself. I had to get out.
