[Rose is lying in the hammock sulking. There is no other word for it. She's swinging slightly in the hammock, a pout firmly fixed on her face. Over the last several months in the City, she's slowly forgotten what the meaning of personal space is. The City has seen fit to remind her today and she's not taking it well. At all.]
Rubbish curse. How're we s'posed to cope with curses and all the other sortsa things the City tosses at us if we can't even hold someone's hand?

Yeah. Right.
Okay trains weren't as good a topic shift as I perhaps thought. Babies. But no, I haven't got any.
no subject
Babies? I should hope not. [She's stifling a giggle.] S'all right, we can get some. Handcuffs, not babies.
no subject
Thank you. [Though one, in normal cases, does lead to the other.] No babies. Just progeny. Where are they? Aside from the police, who I doubt pass them out at request.
no subject
Rather like her too. [Rose sort of stretches out on the floor.] Mmmm don't know. Bet we can find a pair in the Underground though.
no subject
Yeah. That'll be an... interesting day.
no subject
Could make a date of it. Goin' down to get 'em. [She bites her bottom lip and goes a bit red.] 'Course then they'd probably all guess why we want 'em. Not that they wouldn't anyhow.
no subject
Yeahhhhhh.. Maybe we ought to split up for that. Or the best, least embarrassing solution I suppose is for one of us to join the City police force for a little while.

[She really had hated the lunch lady look while he got to run 'round looking brilliant and him]
no subject
Older person, ay? [Eyebrow.] Well, I suppose that cunning plan will just have to weasel its way on out then. We'll come up with something else.
no subject
You know, someone with elastic waistbands and the like. [She reaches out to touch him only to run into the barrier. That gets a bit of a pout out of her that she tries to cover quickly.]
We could wear disguises. I'd get a wig and some sunglasses. Get you a cap to pull down low.
no subject
You think? I might need more than a cap, just a hunch. Have you got any non-suit-clothes? Incognito doesn't really match with pinstripes. Gotta go incog-neat-o.
no subject
Got a point. We'll go out and get you a pair of jeans and a teeshirt. Maybe a hoody. Then you'll be wearin' my uniform, minus the pink.
no subject
no subject
Ought to just leave you be with your fruity drink and your maintenance really. Maybe you ought to wear a hoody, then they'd blame it on someone else wearin' a hoody.
no subject
And I like these ties.
no subject
I like your ties too. [And then a wince of 'I'd really like to reach out and straighten your tie right now and brush my fingers against your neck and just touch you'. Her life is the hardest right now.]

Gaggle's my favorite I think. Mostly I've heard herd, pack and pride.
no subject
Oh there's lots of them. A bike of bees, a colony of ants, battery of barracudas, chatter of budgeriars, an obstinancy of buffalo. You can have a rainbow of butterflies, chowder of cats, or coalition of cheetahs. Or a quiver of cobras, if you're particularly brave. Or not an archaeologist. Aaaaa... ffflamboyance of ffflamingoes. Prickle of porcupines. I'm quite partial to the alliterative ones, particularly if they're also an abstract concept.
Loveliness of ladybugs is quite nice as well. [He can keep going, really.]
no subject
The alliterative ones are my favorites too. Prickle of porcupines.
[She pops the p's on that.]
no subject
Prickle of porcupines. [Heehe.] What else... A puddle of puppies, a rhumba of rattlesnakes, a shiver of sharks, a rout of wolves, a wisdom of wombats... Scurry of squirrels.
