19 - Filter to the deities

I've never done one of these before, so I hope I'm doing this correctly. I wanted to contact the deities for a request. You see, it seems that Yuri acquired Tyr's rune, and it's active and dangerous while on him. My request is that you would return that rune to Tyr and seal it once more, like Rita did before it transferred to Yuri.

Whatever price you ask of me, I shall pay it! Anything to make sure that everyone is safe once more and doesn't have to fear the power of that rune.

I'm afraid not. I know Tyr wants it back and I know Yuri wishes to be rid of it. And... I know that Tyr doesn't want Yuri to go to you, which is why I am coming to you instead.

So you would trade to have it restored and removed on behalf of two others and you do so without their knowledge because they would disapprove.

As for what I offer, I don't know what you would want. Would my memories suffice? Honestly, that's all I know that people have traded with to get what they ask of from you. If that won't do, as I have stated, I will pay whatever price you ask of me.

I can take memories. But I can also accept trouble. A lost sense, for instance, or a lost ability, or lost life, or lost peace.

What say you to new memories, so to speak? Suppose rather than giving up memories, you were to endure something new and unforgettable?

[ooc: I hope you don't mind, but I was rather intrigued by the suggestion you made in the deity voicemail about nightmares... Would that work for you for a trade? It would be a week or two and they would not be pleasant and they might involve "false awakenings" and they would be vivid and they would be memorable. But that suffering could get the rune removed and restored (although I suspect Yuri will be unhappy, since he was ready to make a deal too).]

Endure something? So, for example, experiencing someone else's memories? Or simply enduring such a memory in general? [a pause] Yes, I can do that; I accept your offer.

But you've accepted. Here are the terms:

For ten days--or, rather, ten nights--you will experience nightmares unparalleled by any nightmares you may have had before in your life. You agreed to new memories, so they will be unforgettable. If you sleep, no matter how long or how deeply, you will experience them. If you stay awake too long (though how long can one stay awake, really?), you'll fall into waking dreams. They are inescapable because these are the price you pay.

In exchange for your suffering, upon its initiation, the rune will be removed and restored.

You've already accepted, so come to the office and we'll file the paperwork.

[ooc: I thought it sounded interesting~ The trade can go through at any time hereafter and, as soon as it does, the rune will go back to Tyr. The nightmares will go on for ten nights, though, as payment. Sweet dreams~]
