39th Message - [video - forward dated to the morning]

[Good morning, City! You are greeted to the lovely sight of a very small girl, age 5-ish or so, seated on a window-sill, her legs dangling outside. She's dressed in an over-sized blouse, which is hitting her around the ankles. When she sees the light come on she grins and waves.]

Hi City! So guess what happened at midnight! I was hanging out in my room and then I felt all weird and tingly and then when I looked in the mirror I was tiny! See!

[She waves again, the extra-long sleeve of her shirt flapping over her hand.]

I wanna see if I can still fly! My wings are all funny, too.

[She stands up carefully, balancing with bare toes on the edge of the windowsill. A pair of white, fluffy wings open up behind her, looking a little downier than her usual set. With a giggle, she dives off the window, and her device turns black.]

[ooc: Yep! Dulcie has been age-reversed this weekend to 5 years old. Action for anyone who wants to find a pile of fluffly baby angel in the shrubbery underneath her apartment window. Replies coming from ducklingwings]

[Tommy hoists her up onto his shoulders.]

[She squeals with happiness when he hoists her up. He might get smacked in the face with a pair of flailing wings a few times.]

[Gentlemanly as he is, that doesn't earn more than a quiet oof as she settles. He pulls his goggles back down.]

Ready? You might wanna fold those in.

[She tucks her wings in and grips around his head with all of her five-year-old strength.]

[He's not going to go fast enough to risk her falling off, but it doesn't take long to arrive at an ice cream store, which is fairly empty because most people react to cold weather in saner ways. He sets her down.]

[She struggles with the front door of the shop for a few minutes before she looks up at him hopelessly. Door is heavy, okay?]

[Oops. He opens it with a flourish.]

[She bounds in ahead of him and immediately sticks her face and both hands on the glass of the ice cream case. Noooooooom.]

[He is not in such a rush, for once in his life, so he slouches on over slowly enough to give her some time to contemplate the options.]

Choose your sugar rush wisely.

CHOCOLATE! And can we get SPRINKLES?

[team_sociopath]

You'd be seriously deprived if we didn't.

[Dulcie jumps a few times to see properly in the case before she points at something ridiculously chocolatey looking.]

That one, please!

[Tommy orders his own, too-- something with marshmallows and mocha and chocolate chunks, because hey he's not that old-- and hands her cone down to her before paying.]

[As is always the case when a five-year-old is given an ice cream, half of it gets smeared over her face almost immediately. She seems happy enough about that and licks at the cone with gusto.]

[Making an awful mess with sugar is one of those things that kids are just entitled to do, as far as Tommy is concerned. Even if those kids are probably-ancient angels who are just short for the day. It's the principle of the thing.]
