[Charlie's device hasn't been running for days. Not since Charlie was turned to stone but, gradually, the feed flickers on with a close-up of dark blue denim. It's in the pocket of her jeans and the sounds around it are muffled. The sounds of rocks falling, thumping into the sand and a gasp. A muttered 'jesus christ. where---?' and the sound of something being picked up. A soft scraping sound, sand against something solid.
The device jostles, there's a shot of the sky, light fading as the sun sets and then it focuses on Charlie.
Flesh-and-bones Charlie as she looks around, trying to get her bearings.]
Huh. Okay. Okay, I know where I am which means...[She notices the device and gives it a half-hearted smile. A very tired, stressed looking smile on her face but still a smile.]
Protip for anyone who wants to go walking the desert; Gorgons burn so...shiny objects and if you can manage fire of some kind without looking at it?
[Right. She looks doubtful that anyone'd be able to actually manage this. But still. The device lowers, a brief glimpse of a glass sword in her hand, the faintest of glows pulsing down the blade on occasion.]
Ken, I hope you're somewhere safe.
[And she's walking in the direction of the safe zone.]
Fucking hate this City. Hate it, hate it, hate it.
[End feed.]
