So this is the City? I have been here before, it appears. Kincaid, where-- [ she breaks off, a fleeting expression of sadness and fear crossing her features before they become impassive again. ] Kincaid is not here.

I will require a place to stay, certainly for the night, and a meal. I strongly believe in regular mealtimes for children. If anyone could help me with one or both, I would be much obliged.

I figured I'd let Bandit sleep with her while she stays with us. I think they'd both enjoy that.

I know, I'm sorry, I just... I think it hits a little too close to home. Strange abilities, able to know things about people, always needing to be guarded, always being told not to get too close to people - that was how I spent my childhood and I hated it.
