[ You know, Scott has fourth-walled his way into this place before. He doesn't remember being here to stay, though, so mostly he's wondering what's going on here. ]

You don't want to go home? Cause, I'm kind of thinking that's exactly my plan.

[She also happens to have met more than one of his - persons? He visited more than once? She knows him, man.]

Don't get me wrong, I haven't been back in years. But when you're stuck in a place like this for so long, you make friends. In the end the choice is similar - being in one place means risking losing someone.

What happens if you don't feel like you're at home at home? I have family waiting, but technically they don't even know I'm gone - in truth, I'm the only one waiting. Not them.

I guess, if it was me, I'd miss my mom too much. And all the friends I left behind, even if I had friends here too. I mean, the people you know here…they have somewhere else to go too, right?

[This voice is hard to mistake- it's low and there's a crackle in it. Of course, it's even flatter than usual which means that Nick might be a little pissed off. She just said she might not want to go home. And obviously Jamie's not here- wherever here is...]

[You don't get it - she hasn't heard or seen from him in years, year; no girl holds on for that long, and not one like Mae, in spite of all her loyalties. But her stomach still does a sudden jump and flip when she hears it.]

[It was easy enough to figure out this communicator thing. He wants to see her, though. Maybe just to threaten her into going back home, but...]

[Nick. Nick Nick Nick - wow, she hasn't scratched at the mark on her collarbone in years, it takes a moment to realise she's doing it.]

We're in the City - and it seems like I know what's going on because...I've been trapped here for three years. It's a lot to take in.
