[ After a whispered string of (very English-sounding and) colourful swearing, the device finally turns on to reveal a very cranky (and confused!) looking young lady who seems to be quite convinced that this is all a big bad joke. Anyone who recognizes her may notice she's actually much younger again- and may have a bit of a different air around her. ]

... normally I'd believe that they were messing with my head again, but the longer I look around-

[ They couldn't have possibly created memories so confusing and elaborate. She's not even sure what to think, but she looks back at the device, as though attempting to consolidate whatever memories she's recalling here with the ones she arrived with. ]

I really was here, wasn't I? Once before... [ She doesn't sound very certain, but give her a bit. ]

No... surely it was a dream, but- All these faces- [ she pauses, moving a hand over the side of her head as she begins to murmur names... ]

Vivio... Cain? Rosella... [ So many names- ] Lloyd... Ky... Jun... Demyx? Natalia... Guy..... Peony... Alexis...

[ She quickly shakes her head, turning back to the device and staring at it, her expression firm. ]

If anyone by those names are here, then speak up! Was I really here once before?!

[ She has to know for certain- even if she's remembering it all even as she speaks. She finally glares at the device and grabs it, looking quite annoyed. ]

Oh, don't give me the silent treatment after all of that! This is too elaborate even for them- none of this is adding up, so whoever is listening had better have answers!! What the devil is going on?!

[ She's very, very confused, but hey, welcome her to the City again? :D She'll be wandering around near the fountains. Because water. Why else. ]

If you've been here before, you know what's coming next, right?

[ Wow, cute! The girl on screen is distractingly pretty enough that she kind of wants to focus on her appearance for a bit. But- damn those priorities. ]

"Curses and woes, and the people in the City groan?" Something like that...

[ Brain, why won't you cooperate. ]

Can't say your face popped up during the big flashback I just had, either. Definitely think I missed out if I really was here.

[ She still needs time to process this. But hey, a little friendliness never killed anyone, right? ]

Well, considering how I've been here for almost three years, I'd say yeah - you have. Unless we just never coincided - but I'd remember someone like you on the network.

We're not swarming with visitors today, so you must have been brought back into the City.

[ Three years... she's still trying to figure out how long ago it was that she was here. She's getting a number... ]

It's a bit of a blur, but the memories I'm getting are of a near five years before I made it out. Guess you might have been one of the lucky ones that made it in right after.

[ She smirks though... ]

Don't take my word for it, though. I'm doubting most of the things I'm saying right now.

Lucky? [a small bitter huff.] If you count slowly losing friends that are fortunate enough to leave the City, not seeing my brother in years, and having this feeling that I'll be stuck here for life, sure...I am lucky.

[ Give her a moment, because when Cain's face pops up, she's stunned at how well it matches up to the images in her mind-

... and all the lovely little "extras" that follow, so really. Her confused look becomes increasingly less so and she lifts a hand to her mouth as she watches him.

Forgetting the faces of her brother and friends is one thing- but it's a relief when she sees a face that does fill out. Even if she doesn't quite believe she's really seeing it and those experiences and memories happened... ]

Cain...

[ She mouths his last name, as though affirming it, before she watches his face in wonder. ]

Guess this place still has no intention of letting you go, huh?

[ She absently touches the screen. ]

... you're really here, right? They didn't make you up...

[ The mention of a brother makes her gaze soften because truly honestly completely... her own situation at the moment is not so different. She does have a sympathetic look there, even if her words don't entirely say as much. ]

At least they get to go home. But if I could leave, then I'm certain so will you. Even if it's to be brought back here again...

[ She lets out a dry laugh. ]

... at least you still remember who your brother is. Hold onto that. There's no telling what some people will take away if they know how precious it is.

Yes, I'm really here. And quite the same as ever, more or less. I don't think this place has any intention of letting me go at all.

Well don't look so pleased about it, silly.

[ She laughs weakly- out of all the memories, and the strange changes she's felt- his memories are some of the strongest ones hitting her, even if- they're so out of place with who she is now. ]

I'm as well as could be expected... you'll have to excuse me, though. Head's all fuzzy and all, you know.

[ If she said anything like this back home, she's certain her friends would think her sick. Really... to have been in a place like this for as long as she had and not have remembered a bit of it. It's still so bizarre. ]

What about you? Still dazzling up that opera house?

[ A young maiden and another returning arrival... she also sounds like she needs some help. Lucina had found herself waking up here not too long ago and had been planning on searching for her comrades, though it seems she's not the only one.

Well, there is no reason she can't do both. Everyone should be reunited with their loved ones. ]

My lady, if your comrades are missing, then I will undertake the task of finding them all. You can count on me. All I need are descriptions of them, and I will journey across the lands, from morning till evening, until I encounter them.

I'm only glad to see you. You can't fault me for that.

Yes, well, the City does that, from what I can tell. Especially after one has been gone for a little while.

I'm as well as the City will let me be, which isn't saying much, really. I am still in the opera house. I can't fathom moving at this point.

[ "My Lady"? She blinks in surprise at that address, staring at the device. Oh, right... this place- apparently did that, didn't it? Well, the guy above is a prime example, but even so... ]

Woah, hey- no need for that, luv. Not that there's much "land" to cover in this place... Unless it expanded in the time I was gone. I found one so far, so don't fre...

[ Excuse her for a moment as she trails off though, because now that she's getting a better look...

... it's like looking into a mirror if it was cross-processed and tinted blue. She stares for a bit. ]

Wow. It's almost like I found myself from three years ago, though.

[ Lame joke but... ]

Oh, I'd encourage that, but I meant to your being trapped here.

[ It's so oddly familiar, falling into this banter with a guy who for all intents and purposes- does not know her, did not know her until she stepped here, and somehow knew her, but... ]

And speaking of being trapped... could you confirm some things, then? Like how long I'd been here, and gone? Can't be sure with this place, eh?

[ Five years in the city, almost three years gone. She can't even make out what's real and what's not... or recall what she properly knew of herself then. Honestly, everything feels so odd. ]

I can't imagine the alternative and how shitty it'd be.

I've almost come to terms with the idea, strange as it sounds. I'll never call this place home, but it seems to want to keep me here.

[It takes him a moment to recollect it all. And, of course, there's how to say it at all...]

It's been...some years, at least, since you've last been here. Though I think you paid a visit here once or twice, on certain days when the gates to the City are thrown open. I know you were here for some years before that, though. I can't recall quite how many, but certainly it was for more than a year.

Ah- ...our resemblance is uncanny, but I am certain it must be coincidence. My father would never betray my mother and have any other affairs. Their love is emblazoned in legend.

[ And Chrom is far too honest, and mother is far too violent when she's angry ... It would be a foolish endeavor indeed. Still, it is a bit strange, all things considered. If she remembers correctly, those trapped here had been brought in from lands of the likes she had never heard of. ]

We may have distantly shared blood. Where do you hail from?

I hope no one has to.

[ She stills for a bit- the fear that she could be speaking with an enemy coming to mind, yet a comforting thought- as comforting as anything can be here- slips its way through.

They're all in the same boat. Knowledge she shouldn't have but does. ]

... I can't even remember his name, or his face. I don't even know if I'd recognize him if I saw him. [ She laughs dryly. ] All I have are memories where he stands empty. I was robbed of my brother's presence in my mind-

You're still lucky. You know your own and you'll know him when you see him again.

But you can bet I'll kick the people responsible so hard whenever I get back that they'll remember the scum they were born from!!

[ The 180 is sudden, and she's demonstrating with a clench of her fist! ]

So don't you go losing hope just yet! Three years or ten, you're gonna get back to him. Probably sooner! Besides, a pretty girl like you shouldn't be making that face. Think he'd want to see his sis all down over him?

[She's just stunned right now, let her get back to you when reactions are in order.]
