action, January 30th/31st
[Okay, but has everyone forgotten that there's snow outside and Anonymous is setting up all kinds of amazing things? Dogsled races! Dips in the ridiculously cold ocean among the icebergs! Free hot chocolate! Chekov, being his own boss, gives himself both days off on account of all of the misery accumulated throughout the rest of January. There's nothing like some bracing winter excitement to lift the spirits.
Shut up, he's Russian.
He makes the most of both days. Dogsled racing on the thirtieth? Yep, he's there, hanging on for dear life and trying to remember which words the dogs respond to. (He doesn't win, but he makes it across the finish line with no injuries that require hospitalization, so he considers himself victorious.) Polar bear swim on the thirty-first? Why not! Chekov is practically obligated to participate! His plan to outlast everyone else braving the icy ocean waters fails when an inability to feel his limbs complicates doggy-paddling, but it was fun while it lasted.
Chekov barely sets foot indoors. He can be found almost anywhere in the City, running or starting snowball fights or watching moonlight sparkle on the snow after the sun sets. It's two days of enjoying the City without worrying about disappointing anyone or dwelling on those who have left. Chekov thinks that he has earned it.]
[ooc: Open action for either day!]

action;
He goes to get them both a cup of hot chocolate. The boy's going to need it after that cold dip. Then he rushes over to the shoreline to meet up with him]
Pavel!
action;
Ivan, hello! [The boy doesn't do any rushing of his own. His limbs aren't up for things that involve coordination, but he seems cheerful enough about it.] You have decided to not go for a swim?
action;
[He hands Chekov one of the hot cocoas. The fact that he's so blue worries him a bit]
Here. I think you need it.
action;
[Oh, hot beverage. If Chekov could contort himself in such a way as to wrap himself around the hot chocolate he would.]
You are far too kind.
action;
[Oh... it's been a while since someone's called him that. Is that a blush or just the cold hitting his cheeks?]
And you're welcome. I have good timing.
[He takes a sip of his own drink]
You've got a pair of dry clothes to change in to, right?

When she spots Chekov, she gives him a smile and a wave before going over to say hi.]

Laruna! I forgot to thank you, I think, for the candle. [How does she feel about snowy hugs? Hopefully she doesn't mind, because she's getting one.]
no subject
Was it helpful?
[She brushes some snow out of his hair as she asks.]
no subject
[No ghosts appeared, but it was oddly comforting. Also? He doesn't usually stand for things like having people brush snow out of his hair, but he likes Laruna, so he will suffer it gladly.]

She's just gotten out from her polar bear swim, shivering just a bit but otherwise looking rather...refreshed? She's got a towel on, and she waves to him in the water.]
Pavel!!
You want me to grab you a towel for when you get out?
[She's totally going back in later. The cold is bracing, its awesome.]
action;
Anya, hello! I would appreciate that, yes.
[The worst part of swimming in icy water is, of course, getting out. Somehow, the air always manages to feel colder than the water.]
action;
How long have you been in there for?
action;
Eh... long enough to be concerned about the welfare of my toes and fingers, I think.

Night time action?
Hey you. I decided if I never ventured out again, I wouldn't see you and I missed your face.
Oh, yes!
Chekov isn't trying very hard to hide. At the moment, he's sitting on the edge of the fountain in the quiet square and being particularly contemplative and Russian. The mutt he inherited from Doc Brown, Everett, is sitting on a blanket on the ground. It should come as no surprise that the dog is wearing a puppy-parka.]
I knew you would come out eventually, or I would come in. [He gets up, dusts snow off of his pants, and hugs her. Everett just looks up at Lucy sadly, as if begging her to take him someplace warm.] And I missed your face more.
Re: Oh, yes!
[ Lucy ruffles the dog's ears in greeting and sits down next to Chekov, scooting close to him. ]
Statistically, it was a good bet. I don't keep that much food in the house. [ She grins at him and nudges him with her shoulder a little. ] Also, I'd hate to see you miss my face too much. I can't let that affliction take hold.

You could call me. I would you bring you something. [He puts his arms around her. Ha, try to nudge him now!] The cure wouldn't be so bad. I would need to spend all of my time with you, I think.

action; I AM SORREH c:
[ Maybe that's why he doesn't see the stray snowball. Not until it's too late. ]
What the -- ?!
[ White powder bursts across his temple. His head whips around with an unnerving quickness, eyes narrowing out the culprit. ]
I'm not! ^^
Still, Hei looks ridiculous enough in his Li guise to keep the boy from feeling much in the way of regret. It's not like he hit an innocent bystander.]
Apologies, Li!
[He doesn't look that apologetic.]
<33
[ Is Hei's answer, thrown terse and toneless through the flat line of his mouth. There's a dusting of snow around the furry halo of his hood, and pink irritations in his eyes. (It doesn't agree with him, the cold. He's a soldier trained and built for the tropics. He prefers the heat. Weapons are less easily concealed in summer clothes, for one.) ]
[ The sun on the snow is fearsomely bright. Pink and black spots dazzle and fade from his eyes as he logs Pavel's placement. He blinks once, twice, and by the third he's already made up his mind. ]
[ Good luck dodging this snowball. He scoops, rolls and tosses it in almost the same motion. ]
threadjacks like a jacker of threads
The moment she senses Hei move, she runs, ready to tackle Chekov to get him out of the way. Just in case it's something dangerous.]

He sees Pai sometime after downing more hot chocolate than is healthy. Is she shivering? She's shivering. That's no good. Chekov makes his way over to her, shrugs off his outermost coat (he finds it best to wear two thinner coats rather than one heavy one when running around in the snow is going to be happening), and drapes it over Pai's shoulders.
Honestly, it's like no one takes care of the girl.]
You look very unhappy.
no subject
Being out in the cold like this is stupid. [Why be outside unless you absolutely have to? It makes no sense to Pai.]

Is someone forcing you to stay outdoors?
