He can be, but not to me. There are people here who can keep him in check otherwise.

He's kind of a jerk. And he's selfish. He's...really, really broken and he loves me or he thinks he does, and I don't know how I feel about him except tangled up. Oh, and he's convinced I have a thing going on with Stiles, which is pretty much the joke of the century.

He sounds... unpleasant. [Which is basically Chekov's opinion on anyone who doesn't seem perfect and wants to pursue a relationship with someone he likes.] Not as a person, maybe, but to be around.

What do you mean, broken?

It's really complicated and to be honest, I don't know that he'd appreciate me talking about really intimate details regarding his life with someone he doesn't know. But if he tries to be a jerk to you or Lucy, I won't have it. Don't let him intimidate you.

[This is mostly true. Chekov is worried and would certainly like it if she didn't need to spend time around someone who makes her uncomfortable.]
