[ Surprisingly, Toph's device is still working, despite sand abuse. She's sitting around near the camp when she feels some familiar footsteps... not particularly close. ] Wait... is that idiot really wandering around the desert on foot? [ She shouts: ] Hey, Tyr! Stay put. [ Who knows if he'll hear her. ]

Char, Bad Jokes, Runaway, Bitey... the rest of you I don't have nicknames for... I've got to go rescue somebody. I'll be back later.

[ ooc: Okay, so Toph is leaving her lovely caravan to find Tyr and a few other people... Rita, Riou, basically anyone who wants to join in! Feel free to have your own threads and threadjack and mingle, etc. She'll meet back up with the caravan group later. ]

Anyway, we didn't lose anyone per se... We're trying to find Rita and Estelle.

[ She digs her feet into the sand for a moment, concentrating, and then she shakes her head. ] I'm not feeling them. It's hard to find people out here, though, especially when you don't really know them. I recognized your lazy tread right away.

I'm not that lazy.

[ But she was actually feeling for them, so...Whatever. She isn't that bad. ]

It's hard to be energetic after walking around this much, too.

Well, why are you walking anyway? Walking through a desert is one of the quickest ways to die slowly. And don't drink the cactus juice. Trust me on this one.

[ Definitely. Trust her. ]

We weren't planning on it... [ Sounding...suspicious. That was a very specific warning. ]

And Riou and I aren't so weak that we'll just die walking, so forget about that. We don't have any other way to get around here anyway. [ With a glance back towards her vehicle. ]

[ Apparently Toph is in charge now. Surprise! ]

I can try to... [ He pulls his device out (sand sliding off it). As he messes with it, he continues talking to Toph. ] Where are you going?

[ Huff, good thing Tyr doesn't mind too much... ]

We're just trying to help people to the safezone. Given the choice between sand and glass, I'd rather deal with sand.
