Second Dream | audio (cursed)
As I understand
My current problems speaking
Are due to a curse
This is annoying
I despise bad poetry
Especially mine
I have to wonder
With a good amount of fear
How long this will last
[Yep, Ren's got the haiku curse for the weekend]

audio;
I hope you'll let others play.
It looks exciting.
[ Not cursed, just - as always - enjoying other people's pain. But he does have a weakness for poetry, particularly when there's a strong punchline. (Other people are usually the punchline). ]
Re: audio;
Certainly not exciting
Are you cursed as well?
audio; apologies in advance
Humanity's gift: rhythm
And with some luck, rhyme.
For example:
There once was a lass from Orion
Who was paid once to sleep with a lion
She took his right paw
And by dawn was quite sore
And she now only sleeps with the light on.
audio;
Both in subject and in rhyme
You are no poet
audio;
I gave Shakespeare his best lines
I will have you know.
audio;
Well, not all of them at least
Hard to be impressed
audio;
Hardly translate well either.
It's the thought that counts.
audio;
Still not impressed with bragging
No humility
audio;
Humility is for chumps.
No point fighting it.
audio;
I'm finding you annoying
No one likes a jerk
audio;
With universal constants;
Nobody is surprised.
Difficult to hurt
A creature who doesn't care.
I'm above it all.
audio;
Who claim loudest to not care
Are those who care most
You're above it all?
Lady doth protest too much
Or so I do think
audio;
These catch twenty-two tactics
You broadcast defeat.
I've infinite worlds
Infinite universes
At my disposal
Who needs to linger
In search of praise here or there
With such potential?
audio;
One wonders why you are here
Go brag somewhere else
audio;
As pitiful as it sounds,
I am also trapped.
audio;
Then who cares about
Infinite universes
At your disposal?
You don't have them now
You are like the rest of us
City's prisoner
audio;
I'm not cursed to this rhyming.
I stop when I like.
[ Disconnected. He might have taken the laughing a little personally. ]

His white ears twitched at the sound of the poetry. Yes, it was bad, but he had heard worse. There had been several orphans he'd taken in over the years who dabbled in poetry. Some of them had even gone so far as to turn them into songs for the goddess.
Ah, but that was the past.
He had planned on answering her because of her worries about how long it would last. In truth, the dragon himself was worried. Yes, he had always liked to talk but narrating everything had quickly grown annoying.
"Hopefully not long," he said with some chagrin.

You are narrating your post?
Are you cursed as well?
no subject
"Yeah," he answered with some annoyance. It was annoying him to have to do all of this. If it's not over soon, I'm going to bite something, he thought, tapping a hind paw in irritation.
"And I'll be glad when it's over," he said. He probably would take a day off from talking after this.
no subject
Than what I'm dealing with
Hope it's over soon
audio;
I daresay it's not that much fear. You could stand to put out a little more.
audio;
I had to exaggerate
To fulfill the curse
Re: audio;
[ He sounds maybe just a little too willing to help out with that. ]
audio;
'Worry' is a better one
For how I feel now
I have no desire
To feel any greater fear
Not now or ever
