Oh! Sorry, I was just testing...
It's been a few days since I arrived and I think I've familiarized myself as much as possible with the workings and geography of this place, both high and low! And this device, too. Although it's still kind of strange to be using something like this, with all of these buttons, but I guess it makes communicating over long distances easier for those who don't have any other means of doing so, am I right?
But I've gotten off topic! I actually have an important question for anyone reading this!
You see, when I was exploring, I noticed that there are a lot of people behaving a bit oddly around the city! And I do mean a lot... Normally, if this happened in fewer numbers, I really wouldn't be the least bit surprised, but it kind of seems like everywhere I turn...
...well, the point is, does this kind of thing happen often around here?
Because I wasn't expecting romantic antics until at least the start of February! If people are going to be dispensing chocolates by the boxes, I'm going to need to get to work right away! This place is no Punjam Hy Loo or the Pole, but teeth are teeth! And they need attending!
[ooc: Enter the Tooth Fairy! Text because she's not sure if people would be able to see her or hear her otherwise; replies are welcome in different formats, though!]

[You're trying, Jim, and it's sweet.]
Dewey, is it? I'll see if I can find him. I wonder if he believes in the Tooth Fairy? [Blink.] But what do you mean, they wouldn't want to talk to a grown man? You don't know much about children, do you, Jim?
They love the company of children their own age, but children also love the guidance and security adults provide. Maybe you just spend too much time in places where children aren't to really know more about where they are?

[ His smile tightens for a moment, then he brushes that line of discussion aside in favor of hitching up a charming, far more welcoming expression that crinkles his eyes. ]
Tell me more about you, though. What was that about Punjam Hy Loo and the Pole?

Mm...
[She folds her arms across her chest and shrugs. A smile, nervous, tugs at the corner of her mouth before it's gone again.]
Punjam Hy Loo is where I'm from. It's a beautiful city, very colorful. If you like that sort of thing, I'm sure you'd appreciate its splendor. It's also the place where I keep the teeth my fairies and I collect from children. The teeth, you see, they hold precious childhood memories...
[Now here's the part that she's not sure he'll swallow with a straight face.]
...and the Pole, well, that's where North lives. Nicholas Saint North. It's a place filled with all kinds of wonder! And sometimes children from Santoff Claussen, too.
[There, she said it. And she kind of wishes she hadn't, if only because it makes her miss North's presence all the more.]

[ If something like the Gorn are sentient and space-faring, why not mythological figures rooted in human history? ]
video »
[She stops. Decides she doesn't want to go there.]
...well, what I mean is, yes! We're all real, very real where I come from!
You're...taking this rather well!

[ Kanyeshrug, yo. ]
I sound like Jack Frost? ... Cool.
video »
[A pause, and she nods, eyes wide.]
You do. Eerily so. [Here, Toothiana leans a little closer to her screen.] Same blue eyes...but Jack has very white teeth! So white they sparkle like fresh fallen snow! Can you say the same?
[Totally fishing for an excuse to see some pearly whites here. Tooth loves teeth!]

And so forward, Toothiana, wow.]You tell me.
video »
Wow! Look at how beautiful they are! You don't see very many adult teeth that are so well taken care of, you really don't! They're so straight and shiny and white and really very nicely spaced apart, oh my!
...you have really adorable bicuspids, Jim! Has anyone ever told you that before?

[ Involuntarily, but even so. ]

Tea might be nice, and it doesn't leave one's breath tinged with quite so pungent an aroma!
video »
Tea, I can do. I can also bring some to where you are if you're ever in the mood for some.
[ Stealing it off Spock, oops. ]
video » STEALING IS BAD JIM, VERY BAD
Where I am? Well, that would be here in the gardens...if you're alright with that, I wouldn't mind. It's a public area as I understand.
[Girl knows nothing about the free apartments, but the butterflies have been very understanding roommates?]
video » SPOCK DRINKS ENOUGH TEA HE'S FIIINE
[ You look very tropical, Tooth, pls don't freeze. ]
video » ALL THE MORE REASON HE'D NOTICE IT MISSING MISTER
[Maners, Tooth!]
But thank you! It was very nice of you to offer, Jim. I can see that you'd make a very good captain.

[And because she must, his pearly whites demand the reminder...]
Remember to floss!
[She disconnects.]
