It's been days now— I suppose it is safe to say that this is not simply a regular curse. I hope that everyone is well, or as well as can be expected. [ A beat. ] It helps to travel in groups.

[ And then another, longer pause. ] Will. Are you all right?

Who's this Will?

He's— [ That is a good question. He isn't quite a friend, or family despite what Jem may have said. At this point, she is less certain of what he means to her. ] He is from my world and time.

[signatures]

Ah. Then I see why you want to keep track of him.

[likeboudica]

Yes. [ A pause. ] Are there many people from your world here? [ She remembers flashes of faces and names she saw when she Changed into him. ]

[signatures]

A few. One has gone missing recently; I'm not sure which side he might be hiding on.

[likeboudica]

What is his name? [ Ever curious. ]

[signatures]

Dominick Cobb.

[likeboudica]

I do not know him.

[signatures]

That's all right, he was a bit of the secluded sort.

[likeboudica]

I think— I may know of him. From when I Changed.

[signatures]

He had very striking blue eyes.

[likeboudica]

Yes. [ Nodding slowly, not that he can see. ] I hope your friend is all right.

[signatures]

I hope he's either all right, if without device, or gone home.

[likeboudica]

Does going home not mean being all right for most people?

[signatures]

Going home for him would be preferable to this place, I think. But for some, that's true - going home can mean certain death.

[likeboudica]

And some do not wish to go home even if it may not mean certain death. But I rather had the impression that the majority wishes to return to their worlds.

[signatures]

You know, in talking to people here - I think it may be the opposite.

[likeboudica]

Truly?

Perhaps we have been talking to different people.

[signatures]

Could be. I've hardly not talked to everyone present. Maybe we ought to combine our resources.

[likeboudica]

To which purpose?

[signatures]

No real one.

[likeboudica]

Do you do many things out of idle curiosity?

[signatures]

Of course. Else life would be quite boring.

[likeboudica]

[ Thinking about that for a moment. ] You may be right.

[signatures]

Do you not follow your own curiousity?

[likeboudica]

Not always, though possibly more often than I should.

[signatures]

You always should.

That I cannot agree with. What if it brings up painful memories for another person?

[signatures]

Depends on the person.

[likeboudica]

There may be exceptions, but I would say such a thing is not done, generally.
