So uh, at first I thought this was just a temporary thing. You know, get dumped off in the ball pit while Mom and Dad eat a cheeseburger or whatever. But now I'm stuck here? [He's not sure if that's a statement or a question.]

What the fuck?

[The Welcome Center was nice and everything, but he didn't expect the change to be permanent.]

I got shit to do back home, yo. I never finished my stuffed crust or showed by baby bro Locomotive Breath or got to see Kanye flip his shit in concert.

Just show me where the Greyhound station is and it's all good.

Some. You can find just about anything here -- it's not as boring as you might think.

I'm sure people play basketball. I've never checked, but in between the various curses, people around here seem to know how to have a good time.

Really? Nobody's taken the time to explain those to you? Well...

[Oh great. Wonderful.]

There are... random occurrences that transpire in the City. Sometimes they're fairly benign, such as mistletoe all over the City that compels people to kiss each other. Sometimes they're far less pleasant, such as curses which cause us to reveal our darkest memories. Either way, they're... unpleasant.

Well, that's part of the problem -- it's relatively arbitrary. There're times when you might go for several weeks without being affected by a curse. Then there're times when you might be hit by every single curse that comes along.

[A sigh.]

And no, there's no curse repellant. People find their own ways of coping with the... difficulties.
