[Lilith can be seen, feeling her way forward along the outer wall of a building, one step at a time – hesitantly, bare foot hovering above the ground for a moment before making contact. The right one first, her left foot repeating the process. The progress slow as a result, but there is a certain grace to it that can’t be denied.]
Is this... the land beyond death? Is this Heaven? There are so many strange scents here... sounds...
[She comes to a faltering halt. Her voice the backdrop of the network device’s recording of the City in part and herself in whole. When she finally continues speaking, her conclusion is soft. The harshness of its implications already too familiar to her. To be truly frightening.]
But the darkness, it has not withdrawn. Then, is this Hell? Because he said... Hell is eternal darkness.
[She remains standing in that one place – looking cold and vulnerable in her white, cotton nightgown. Seemingly wary to move. After a few more minutes, the recording times out and cuts off.]
((ooc : open to action as well))

Re: Video
Don't worry about payin' me back. You got other stuff to worry about.
[There's silence for some time, as he walks her way and tries to find her, and then, finally, he spots her. The cold weather has his limp acting up worse than normal, so he moves slowly as he approaches her.]
Hey.
[Frankly, he's worried about startling her, but greeting her with a 'hey' is probably better than putting a hand on her shoulder or something, so it'll have to do.]
Action
Are you that person... I spoke to earlier?
Re: Action
Yeah, that's me. I'm Jimmy, by the way.
Action
[She reaches out to the side with one hand, trying to find a point of support - an arm, a shoulder, something other than the coldness of the wall on which to lean.]
Re: Action
[He catches her arm when she reaches out, giving her something solid to lean on -- his arm or his shoulder, if she wants.]
Nice to meet ya, Lilith. I know how disorientin' it can be to get dropped into a place like this without any idea of what the hell's goin' on.
Action
[Her hand scrambles up his arm to find his shoulder, gripping it tightly as she steps closer, finding a proper sense of balance. Yes, she remembers dying. She should have been standing before God now, but perhaps it is His will - that she is here instead.]
Re: Action
[How to phrase this delicately? He's never been good at it.]
Uh, well, I'm pretty sure you died. But instead of just, y'know, bein' dead, you ended up here. But in some ways you're still kinda... Well... Do you have a heartbeat? A pulse?
Action
I have been cursed, with the remnants of a life.
Re: Action
[He begins walking, gently guiding her in the direction of the Welcome Center, taking it slowly. There's a whole lot for her to absorb about being stuck here, and he doesn't want to scare her more than he has to.]
I know it doesn't feel right, but maybe it ain't a curse. Maybe it's another chance.
Action
You are kind. To try infusing me with that kind of hope, Jimmy. In many ways, I have become such a hopeless person.
Re: Action
Action
[Her words stumble as she does, a loose stone digging up into the bared underside of her foot, hurting her. Making a low noise of pain, she falters briefly - then, almost mindlessly, resumes the broken pace, his pace. Comfortably slow.]
-- if this place calls on many different people, it will take Jean-Paul here, too.
Re: Action
Jean-Paul a friend of yours? Boyfriend maybe?
Action
[Trying to add as little pressure to his shoulder as possible, she turns her head away. Towards the sounds of the city around them, still strange and foreign to her. Her voice is thick, but soft. The memories happy, after all.]
Re: Action
[He keeps on walking, the route to the Welcome Center coming naturally to him, trying to keep up a somewhat optimistic air to make her feel less concerned.]
Action
Something like that happening... It would truly... truly be a blessing from God.
Re: Action
[Not that he doesn't believe in God in general. Just that it's... complicated.]
Okay, here we are.
[And he's going to be holding the door for her, then guiding her through.]
Believe me, this place'll take good care of you, whether or not your brother shows up.
Action
Thank you, Jimmy. I will not forget your kindness... towards me.
Re: Action
You're welcome. You take care, okay? I'll see you around.
[And with that, and what's meant to be a reassuring tone, he leaves her there, seeing that someone's already coming to greet her.]
