So, is this the part where I say "we're not in Kansas anymore"? Sorry to disappoint, but I think it was pretty clear when I took a dunk in your merry and magical fountain about five minutes ago. Way to make a guy feel right at home.
What I'm wondering now, though, is who here has information beyond "we're all trapped in this knockoff city with a bad sense of humor". The ticking is a nice touch, too. I feel like it almost calls for a Peter Pan joke, but I'm not really jiving on that right now.
Anyway, if you have information, I might be able to offer something in return. The "something" depends on what you give me, so make it good. Knock knock jokes need not apply.
And hey, if you have any spare clothes? I'd be really grateful. I think I've flashed about twelve people and scarred a few small children. Whatever brought us here picked a fantastic time to nab me.

[give her a second to figure out who this is. ]

[ jason's still trying to figure out what makes it tick, so she's got a good head start. ]

If you are still near the fountain, I can bring you clothes. :)
[read: she is going to mooch from her new friends. ]

Guess we all get one Get Out of Jail Free card, huh.
And yeah, I am. I'll be the guy in a towel. I appreciate it.
[ mooch away. it'll continue the tradition of her giving him other people's clothes. ]

Unless you do not mind a dress?

Kori's eyesight is above average. Her sense of smell is pretty good too - but honestly, what gives Jason away immediately is his butt. Kori has seen it naked countless times. She has seen in it Kevlar, in towels, in boxer shorts. She has seen it in embarrassing yoga pants, jeans and swimming trunks. There is a happy, excited fluttering in her stomach - one that has her speeding up, dropping the backpack in mid flight close to the fountain and swooping down. She lands on graceful and feet and wonders if it will be weird to hug a naked dude from behind?
Probably. She does it anyway, squeezing him round the middle. ]
Jason!
[!!! Jason is here. Jason is here. Roy isn't, but - two out of three isn't bad. It's better than before. ]
action.
what else has he got to do? sure, he could probably mug someone for their clothes, but he's already chimed in his spectacle for the day. but —
the backpack hits the ground and that catches his attention first, brows knitting and now he's really suspicious. if it weren't for the fact there's a very real pair of orange arms circling his middle, he would have made an exception for a second scene. ]
Kori — what. [ which is as articulate as he's going to get for the moment. give the man a weapon and he's just fine. this is a whole different deal, though, and maybe he laughs. just a little. beginner's luck be damned. ] Jesus.
action.
But he's fine. Jason is fine.
And naked.
Almost like their first meeting. ]
I brought you clothes. I did not know it was you - I would have been faster. It is very good to see you!
action.
even if it leaves roy god knows where. fuck.
he lets out a breath when she lets up, twisting to look at her once he has the opportunity. he should probably be more concerned about the half naked part, but well, kori. ]
I appreciate it. [ this is probably the nicest he's been since arriving, no joke. ] But — how long have you been here?
[ long enough to borrow clothes for him from someone, to know her way around. excuse him, his brain is trying to catch up. ]
action.
[Two weeks. Enough time to go to a party and try human beer. And make teenage friends. It's been a weird couple of weeks. ]
Please hold on a second.
[She rushes to grab the backpack - who knows what kind of greedy hands people have here??? Honestly. It takes her a second and then she holds it out with hand, for Jason to take. Like he is supposed to get dressed here, in public.
She is so good at this. ]
Roy is not here.
action.
but, whatever, he reaches out and takes it, unzipping it nearly immediately. his lips thin into a tight line at her next statement, gaze on the contents of the backpack. ]
Well, shit. Maybe he's even later than I am. [ he's not going to drop his towel, but he is going to pull a shirt over his head, setting the backpack on the ground in the meanwhile. feelings? are hard. ]
Is there anyone we do know here? [ "we" and it still feels bizarre to say. ]
action.
[No Superman. No Batman. It's an odd mix.
She understands, though, that feelings are hard. She gives his arm a comforting pat. ] If he is any later than this, then we will remove pizza privileges from him.
[Also, making out. That's going too. ]
Oh - we should go. Unless you plan to flash everyone again?
action.
he reaches for the backpack and zips it back up, letting out a huff of a chuckle at the idea of kori revoking roy's pizza privileges. ] Aiming straight for the jugular, huh? Cruel, but I like it.
[ there's a groan at the mention of flashing more people, though. ] Yeah, well, they've all got their free eyeful, I think. Any more exposure and they're only going to remember my ass.
[ ahem. but he inclines his head and slings the backpack over one shoulder. ] Let's get out of here.
action.
she gestures for him to follow her as she begins to walk.]
Humans live in such small spaces. But the people here seem nice, even if they do seem suspiciously complacent to being trapped here.
[do hear that Jason?? she called people nice. she's being civil. ]
action.
spoiler: never. so, he trails alongside her, one hand busy holding his stupid towel up. ( funny, he never noticed how much hotels really skimp on the fabric of these things until now. ) ]
What's that — nice? You feeling okay? [ but okay, his lips might have quirked into a quick smile, but it vanishes as soon as it appears. ]
Maybe there's something in the water.
action.
Not everyone here is human. There are Gods, too.
[She pauses, shrugs and gestures for him to follow her around a corner. ] Not Gods like the Gods of Tamaran, however. Some are from centuries in the future. It is very exciting.
