The same things as usual, but later. I run surgery and ICU, it's rarely a quiet night.

A shift's the period you work. Rotation's a collection of shifts - so I presume you mean the former. And that's nice of you.

Yeah, well, she gets hungry and sometimes she doesn't have time to get to the cafeteria. I can bring you a meal, too. [ He can bring all the doctors something! ]
