Piglet's 50th Adventure

H-hallo. [Piglet gives a small wave of his very small paw to the camera.] So I've noticed that there seems to be a Party happening. [By this, he most likely means the carnival on the outskirts of town.]

I was just wondering what the party is for? A-and can anyone come? M-mainly meaning a very small animal such as m-myself. And if so... what kind of gift should do you think I should bring?

It's pretty common to have carnivals and fairs in September to align with Autumn. It used to be for displaying the harvest bounty but elements like the midway and rides and games got incorporated over time.

[She pauses, realizes she's pontificating.]

I umm, read that in a book somewhere.

[Eeeee! Piglet!]

Oh, um. [Of course being such a very small animal, Piglet lacks alot of understanding of any sort of 'real' world.] So... it's not a party?

Well, it's sort of like a party? Only instead of one person being the host, there's a group of people who are the hosts, only anyone who wants to come is invited and you don't have to bring a present. This particular type of party is called a carnival.

Oh! I've never been to one of those. Will there be a lot of people there? [A lot as in more than a party that Piglet might be used to.]

There will likely be a great many people there, yes. Some will be by themselves, some will be in pairs, and others will be in groups together.

[She feels like she needs to explain these things to Piglet. She doesn't want him to be overwhelmed.

God, she may never eat bacon again.]

Well, if you decide to go on the first day, I'm going to go by myself and we might be bump into each other. Perhaps if we do, we could play one of the games. I'm arguably fierce, but when it comes to Piglets.
