0211: Ninja!

[Rain was a ninja!

A kind ninja!

A flower and pretty stones ninja!

She dressed all in black and ninja-ed her way all over the City sneakily leaving flowers and pretty stones for everyone she saw. People she knew got nicer ones, of course.!]

[OOC: Feel free to have Rain run into you and leave you a gift. Also, please feel free to notice/catch her as she goes along. It will make her happy!]

[Neil is minding his own business, having a smoke while sitting in the sun outside a cafe. He leans back in the chair, closes his eyes, letting his beer rest for a bit.]

[Rain slipped in like a quiet ninja girl and slid a flower and a note in front of Neil while his eyes were closed. The note read, "You are a very nice person!" and had a smiley face on it.

Then she faded into the background to watch what would happen.]

[Something made Neil start. He blinked a few times, then saw the flower and a piece of paper. Looking around, he didn't see anyone running away or trying to hide and there wasn't anyone he recognized around him. He picked up the note, read it, and frowned, saying quietly...]

"... and a smiley face?"

[Rain frowned and wrote another note that she slipped in and left when he looked the other way.]

Don't you like smiley faces?

How the --

[He looks around again, mostly confused.]

I like smiley faces. Just... How did you do that?

Whoever you are...

[And another note appears.]

It's me! Don't you know who I am? Can't you find me?

[He's talking to the air, or to himself... or something. Maybe he's going crazy...]

Me, who? And I can't see...

[Blink. Smiley faces...]

Rain...?

{Another note appeared.]

Yep!

I'm by the wall!

[And if he turned around he'd see her standing there, all in black, anf giggling.]

[He turns and focuses on her as she giggles. He smiles.]

Hey! How'd you do that?

I'm a ninja today!

Seriously? How'd that happen?

I don't know. But it's fun!

Can you teach me how to be a ninja?

Oh gosh.

[She looked a little worried.]

I don't really know how I'm doing it. But you can come along with me if you want!

[He laughs.]

And how'm I gonna keep track of you if I can't see you?

[She considered that for a moment, then grinned.]

I know! I can hold your hand and bring you along with me!

We can try it...

[He stands and holds out his hand to where she was a second ago. He's lost sight of her again.]

[She stepped out of the shadows and took his hand with a smile.]

Come on!

[She appears and takes his hand and they're off!]

[Rain was happy to drag him along as she left flowers and nice notes for people. But she was careful never to leave him behind.]

Isn't this fun? Look how they're all smiling!

[Neil thought he'd seen it all, but here he is, invisible like a ninja, moving like a ninja - as long as he holds on to Rain's hand.]

Oh, yeah. Lots of fun!

[The smile might be stuck on his face for a while.]

[She beamed at him.]

I like making people happy.

I know you do, but this ninja thing... It makes it a lot easier to be sneaky.

Uh huh.

It's lots of fun!

[Neil doesn't think he could do this all day, but Rain is so happy, he can't spoil things by not going along for the ride.]

[After a while even Rain tires out and she tugged him along to somewhere that they can rest.]

Phew!

[Neil couldn't agree more and he hasn't been the one writing all the notes and finding flowers and chocolates and stuff.]

I think I'll just lie here for a while...

[So he does. It's a good thing the grass is quite comfy.]

[Rain smiled over at him.]

I like this curse. But I'd be tired of I had to do it all the time.

And who'd take care of the Library? And my flowers?

Yeah, tired...

[The grass is comfy.]

[She smiled and reached out to take his hand, closing her eyes in a smile.]

I'm glad you came with me.

[Neil gave her hand a squeeze, eyes still closed.]

I'm glad I did, too, Rain.

[She smiled and let her eyes drift closed. Dozing under the sun seemed just perfect right now.]
