04 ☾Accidental Questioning ☾ Video

[So poor Isaac here doesn't realize he's broadcasting, the device is sitting on a table beside him, showing just a small outline of his face and he's deep in conversation. His face is slightly flushed and he's gesturing a lot with his hands, its the most animated he'd been in a while mostly because the situation he was talking about was quite close to home.]

So Allison... or Scott? I mean I can't make that kinda decision right now and hey, what if I just can't make that kind of decision?

[He sighs, bring his cup of coffee to his lips and taking a drink.]

This is pretty much the opposite of what I thought would happen... but uh, I probably shouldn't be talking about this anyway. Really great how I'd suddenly come to these two discoveries at the exact time...

[OOC: So Isaac doesn't know he's broadcasting his problems of the heart to the Network. I figure he's not talking to himself so either A) He could be talking to someone he knows if anyone he's had CR with wants to assume that kind of position or B) He's harrasing some poor waitress in the coffee shop.]

[And this is exactly the reason he's paranoid about this whole network thing. There's no way this broadcast was intentional.]

Do you... I mean, are you actually trying to address the City as a whole? Is this some kind of market research that requires a lot of feedback, or something? Or is this one of those things where you're accidentally broadcasting your thoughts and you're going to be horrendously upset in about three seconds because I just told you that you were musing about what sounds like your romantic life in public?

[ ... ] You're so sweet and innocent it's a wonder you even manage to grow claws.

If that was meant to be filtered, it didn't work.

[There's a look, when he hears the device and actually picks it up and you can almost see a part of him dying inside. His face falls instantly to an expression of 'dear god what have I done'.]

Wait, what, oh god....

[ So, Scott's day has not been bad. Ever since secrets were let go between Stiles and him and he'd found an equilibrium with Isaac, he'd been in a good mood. Another explosion had been worrisome but once everyone checked in, he was fine. His friends and family were his priorities again. Not the City, not Anonymous - but, Stiles, Lydia, his mom, Allison ... and Isaac again. Not that Isaac had ever stopped being his priority. He'd just lost touch with him while also feeling like he'd lost the ground he'd gained.

Luckily, it's been regained.

Perhaps a little too regained.

At first, he thinks Isaac is talking about loyalty - who to hurt. But, then two discoveries makes it sound less like 'feelings for Allison' and that he needed to 'let Scott know' - those would be the same discovery. So, while he can't comment on anything going on here - especially not through text - he still has to so Isaac doesn't continue broadcasting this to the world.

How Scott feels about this is complicated. Though, he's not sure he can reciprocate what Isaac means? Sure, he'd enjoyed cuddling close to both Allison and Isaac but his reaction had been because of Allison's proximity, right? Maybe he hadn't been wrong with Stiles. Maybe he'd gotten the correct vibe from Isaac the day they'd hung out together.

Wait, you think about exciting me?

Or, something like that was said. Truth be told, he doesn't. Never has. He's thought about keeping Isaac safe. Making sure nothing as horrible as his father ever befalls him again. Keeping him close. Out of danger. He feels comfortable around him, that's sure.

He's spending too much time thinking about this and not enough replying. ]

Isaac, your conversation is being recorded.

[ He'll be a good friend and start there. ]

Fuck Stiles, what have I done. [He's going to try become a tiny ball of nothing now.]

[Yes he's slowly coming to that realization and thinking about dying.]

Yeah I uh, yeah...

I mean, on the bright side, maybe people are busy with other things and they're not listening to this. On the other hand, you did just potentially confess your love for one or two people, depending, so there's that.

[Isaac find himself incredibly happy that Scott replies via text, not through video. He can't help but imagine the kind of expression his friend might have for him right now. He'd only just started thinking about his feelings and never thought about doing anything about it, he was just going to wallow in them for a while.

He puts his head down on the table in the coffee shop, staring blankly at the device and breathing heavily, feeling like he was slipping slowly away from his happy place. Its around five or ten minutes before he actually manages to text Scott back.]

[It clarifies nothing, mostly because he has no idea what to put into words.]

Yeah, I did. I'm pretty sure at least one of them was paying attention.

[Excuse him while he avoids banging his head off a wall.]

[Yes, Isaac. This is in fact a child talking to you. Don't worry. She misunderstood everything.]

I don't think you're supposed to choose between friends. It's not fair.

[So she's heard.]

So this is the kind of confession that you hadn't even made to them yet, and now you're making it public? Well, that's one way to do it. You'd probably better prepare yourself for the unwanted relationship advice, too, because I have the feeling you're about to be handed a ton of it.

[Because its a child Isaac figures its best to use a brave face rather than the now punched-in-the-stomach feeling he was experiencing.]

Yeah uh, its a weird situation.

[What? Explain his fucked up werewolf love life to a child?]

[Peter is going to just kind of stare at that for a moment with an expression somewhere between bemused and concerned. But the time he switches on the video feed, however, his lips are curved into something of a smirk. The better to continue ignoring any weird relationship feelings he might have had / still be having.]

[Yes, there's a teasing hint to his voice. He remembers you from Star Wars night and with a post like this, how can he refuse?]

I'm sure we can find you a Magic Eight Ball for all of those difficult life decisions.

[ Scott's in the clinic, working away - the team now moving onto painting finally. Checking the text, finally, he reads it, replying immediately, so as to not give Isaac the wrong idea. He's not mad. Or, awkward. Well, not as awkward as he could be? ]

Don't worry. It happens.

[ He sends that text before deciding to send a second. ]

Do you want to talk? Which restaurant are you in?

[ He doesn't know what he'll say. But, he needs to talk to him in person. They're not going to text each other about this. Not back and forth, not constantly, this is an in person conversation to have. But, it does clear up Isaac's reaction Saturday night. Probably a combination of Allison-Scott something. He wants to say that Isaac doesn't have to choose - or that Isaac doesn't have a choice? When it comes to Scott? But, again, in person.

He sets his device down again and lets out a breath. Luckily, his workers aren't making conversation about it - but yeah, it's clear this is about Scott. ] Looking good, guys.

[Isaac gives him a look that screams 'seriously dude?']

Really? Okay is what we're going with right now after I just confessed my feelings to an entire city full of people?

[The idea of seeing Scott terrifies him ever so slightly now, mostly because there's the worry of what he might say, how he might act. It isn't exactly gauche for Isaac to expect the worst, he was used to it at least.]

i'm in the coffee shop... you sure you don't wanna take some time to yourself? [Or give Isaac time to hide.]

Are you sure they don't?

Not with this kind of feeling? [Worst explainer ever.]

[She thinks she understands now. Just a bit. Just a tiny hit of it, at least.]

Is it a grown up kind of feeling?
