So I need a roommate. I have a nice three bedroom apartment and you can have one of those. The other is being converted into my art studio. Dogs are okay. Parties are even more okay. I'm clean... relatively. Okay, it's more like controlled chaos in my room, but I know where everything is and I keep it contained. I keep late hours and hate mornings. I bring home free clothes sometimes! Free food too! I mean, if this doesn't really get you all hot and bothered, I don't know what else to tell you.

Except that I really miss Craigslist. So much easier just to post pics and ignore the emails from potential creepers. Here I have to actually tell them they're too creepy to share a bathroom with.

So Marines don't need friends?

[If anything, Angela thinks people surrounded by death and destruction need friends more than anybody else. And while her death and destruction is different from his, if she didn't have friends, she would have lost her mind, her hope in the world that there are still good things to be had. Friends are reminders that good can outweigh the bad and that when it all seems too much, there's somebody to help carry that weight.]

Didn't say that I don't need them.

[ he probably does, but he doesn't put that thought at the forefront of his mind, not when all of his own friends have died. starting from the very first friend he made at bootcamp to the very man he's respected all his life. ]

I said I'm bad at keeping them.

[ which has a lot of meanings, all things considered. maybe she'll get them. maybe not. ]

What makes it hard to keep them?

[It's a tough subject she's picking at, but this is the longest conversation she's had with this guy so she's not shying away and besides, we all know Angela sticks to the loners like nobody's business.]
