No cellphone reception. No cash or major credit cards accepted. And me without a clue.

What is this? Yeah. A city. What is this really?

[ooc; Behold a very pissy and confused Roman who just walked his way from the forest. Welcome him the only way you know how, City.]

[Aw, displaced and uncertain teenagers are one of Penny's favorite kinds of people. ;;]

Not a problem.

[She laughs, but doesn't deny it.]

I try to be. It'd be pretty terrible if I wasn't... I'd have to fire myself from the Welcome Center.

Oh, Roman--do you mind dogs?

[Sorry, Roman, but Penny is going to want to take care of you until you're not adorably uncertain.]

No one sucks completely.

[She heads up a narrow set of stairs in back, motioning for Roman to stay put. A moment later, two medium-sized dogs bound down the stairs and gallop over to the stranger, tails wagging.]

These're my dogs, Sam and Tumbles. I don't usually let them down when we have visitors, but they've been cooped up for a while. Just let me know if they bother you?
anunluckypenny: [please give me a chance to catch my breath] (Thank you)

[That's okay!]

C'mon, you can't really believe that.

[What the dogs lack in intelligence, they more than make up for in unbridled doggy enthusiasm. Tumbles leans against Roman's leg, his whole body wiggling in time with his tail; Sam tries to give Roman's hand a thorough licking.]

Nah, they belonged to friends who've left. Wherever you end up living, I definitely recommend getting a pet, especially if you don't have a roommate. When you're alone, this ticking noise starts up. A pet--even a goldfish--helps keep it quiet.
