I know everybody gets up in arms about clowns. I don't blame anyone a lick. But what gets me are the clowns that aren't wearing makeup. There are plenty of those.

...I try to keep out of politics, in and out of the City, but can someone give me the short version of what the flying fuck is up in the sky? Looks nice. If it's gonna start raining acid or some shit, I wanna know who the jerk off is.

What kind of clowns don't wear make up? [ Give him a second. ] Do you mean, mimes? Don't they wear make-up?

They don't make it easy to keep out of politics when they keep getting on the network. [ Just saying. It's impossible to ignore full diatribes on the network. He usually stops what he's doing. ] Someone threw themselves at the barrier on the edge of the City. It caused the earthquakes and the temperature changes. And whatever's happening in the sky I think.

I hate it, too. I think a lot of us, do. All we get is whatever they want us to get. They yell at us for acting out. Who knows what they really do or why. Maybe if he'd gotten out, he could've helped. Who knows. He didn't think it through.

Maybe so. I think that all of this want to do things our own way. That's the nature of people.

[Woah. Really? As simple of words as that. Larry's impressed because the kid as at the end of his rope and still is hanging on. He should be able to hear that more.]

It was... I dunno, she kinda agreed with you, y'know? That maybe I should take some time, not try'n jump right into somethin' so soon after losin' someone important to me.

[A pause. He's honestly not sure how he feels about this, but he's trying to think about it logically. For someone so driven by emotions, that's hard.]

[It'd be a whopper of a lie to say that he's not disappointed that there wasn't more wiggle room but Angie has all his respect. The situation isn't ideal for anybody.]

Y'know it's a good thing. Means she understands. If she understands then you can build trust. That's important friends or not.

I'm not gonna say it was easy.

[It wasn't. Lying to her would have been a lot easier. But then Mr. White might not have said he was proud of him and really meant it, if he'd found that out. He'll keep trying to impress the guy, no matter what.]

Kinda felt like I could really fall for her, y'know? But sometimes those feelings're...

[He shrugs.]

Well, sometimes I should think more carefully before gettin' myself into somethin'.

One chump made one hell of an impact on the place, I'll give 'em that.
