The 61st Song [Action for the Desert City]

[Poor Rapunzel. Last night, she went to bed feeling rather good, considering what day it was...today, she's been wandering the Desert City, trying to find some place that isn't crumbling to pieces underneath her feet.

But it's starting to get late...and she hates to admit that she's getting scared, but...]

Hello? Is there anybody out there? I just want to get home...if home is still standing...]

[Poor Pascal is worried for Rapuzel, poking his head out from his spot on her shoulder every so often. But other than that, the desert doesn't seem to be bugging him so much...]

C'mon, Pascal...we've got to find someplace to stay before it gets dark...I've got a bad feeling about staying out late...

Whatever is the matter?

I'm sort of...lost in the sand city...

Things have taken a turn for the worse, yes.

Were you aware of when the City turned to sand?

I was at home...It all looked the same, but made of sand, so I figured I'd go to work, but everything started to look the same after that...and I got lost.

[There's something about this girl's tone. She sounds so... distressed. It makes him remember, with an unwanted twinge, how confused he was when he first arrived in the City. He exhales.]

If you were wandering on foot, you cannot have gotten far. Is there any distinctive landmark around you? Perhaps I can fetch you.

[He knows where the humans have erected their tents. The aura of blood and heartbeats is easy to discern.]

[She'll do just that, waving her arms around. God, she's perfect bait for sand worms or something.]

[Lo' and behold there's a sand worm or two taking that bait. Dean sees a dust trail heading toward her just as he's pulling the Impala up. He gets out, gun in hand.]

Rapunzel, get in the car now

[And he's going to start firing right behind you.]

[Rapunzel's eyes widen in horror as she looks over her shoulder, and she screams. Holy shit what IS THAT. She does exactly what he says, getting right into the car.]

[It's okay. Dean has this covered. It's only a couple of stragglers and he puts them both down with his gun then ambles over toward the driver's side and gets in then starts the car up.]
