This is too scary.

Yesterday, people threw rocks at me when I was going home from the Library.

I just ran and ran into the woods until I got away from them and then waited till it was dark and went home when the moon came up to show me the way.

I don't know what's wrong. I didn't do anything to anybody.

I... I think I'm just going to stay home for a while.

Everything is so crazy in the City right now.

Why is the city crazy right now? Aren't cities like this?

[Cities are new. Suburbs are as populated an area as she's been in and even then, it was just her and her small family.]

The City... It's not usually like this, but right now there's crazy stuff going on. People got stuck in jail and escaped and the deities are mad and people are mad at them and now... people are throwing rocks and being all mean.

Are you okay? I've seen you around. On the streets and stuff. Do you have somewhere to stay where people can't hurt you?

No. Usually it's okay.

Sometimes things are scary, but not like this and not for so long.

[The whole front of her house is made of a clear hard thick plastic, though it's clear that there are at least 2 rooms dug into the hill in the back on each side. Rain peeks her head out from the bedroom area and smiles a little shakily.]

It was very scary. So now I'm just hiding here.

No. Just scared me. And maybe a bruise or two. I mostly ran really fast away from everyone.

Oh! This is quite cozy. Any chance of a cup of tea? It might make you feel better.

Just people on the streets. I don't even know most of their names, but they're people I saw all the time when I'm working.

[She smiled shyly at him.]

Okay. I can make tea. Do you want to come sit down?

[She walked straight back past the living area and into the small kitchen area, smiling over her shoulder.]
