Um. I- huh.
[For at least a minute, there is silence. Well. Sort of. Pabu the fire ferret supplies a few perplexed chirps to break up the monotony!]
So, I was thinking- [ANOTHER CHIRP, and this one actually sounds surprised] - Pabu, come on! I think! I am a deep thinker!
…Okay, fine, maybe my brain is not an ocean. Maybe it’s a lake. A deep lake. But honestly, who wants a mind full of saltwater, anyway????? Do you know how dehydra- wow. I’m not going to ride that train to the last stop. Anyway, I was thinking- [There’s a brief pause in which one could imagine he’s giving his fire ferret the old stink eye, because…that is what he is doing.] -that we might’ve gotten lost. Slightly. Slightly lost. [He sighs, and there’s a rustling sound as he shoves his hands in his pockets.] Wait.
[More rustling, more chirps, and then a very loud exclamation, followed by-.] Communicator…thing! And BUTTONS. Pabu! Buttons! [Mashing a few- OH HEY. it’s Bolin’s face, up close and personal. He points excitedly at the camera, and then looks over at Pabu, perched in his customary spot on Bolin’s shoulder. The human of the duo feels the need to rinse and repeat a couple times. He gets it out of his system eventually, and faces the camera again.]
Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooo, City!

[And that's when Mako meets up with Korra at the beach to borrow Naga. It doesn't take Naga long to track Bolin's scent and follow it, so he arrives between fifteen and twenty minutes later, polar bear dog bounding with more gusto than he thinks is normal.
And, well, it kind of hurts his balls.
So when they finally do arrive, Mako isn't all smiles and tears of joy. He's lurched forward, catching his breath.]

He's already on his feet once Naga barrels into sight with Mako on her back- he attempts to keep a straight face but fails miserably because this is funny, ok.
Lips twitching, he flings his arms wide.]
Nagaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! How's my favorite polar bear dog?
[Aw yeah, doggie kisses. How delightful.]
Hold on, Naga? [He peers around her head and up at Mako.] Korra's still here?

Yeah. She said she's been here for about a year. Chief Beifong and Tenzin are here as well. [A pause, but a thought comes to mind.] And Fire Lord Zuko, randomly.

Excuse me, just Zuko. He isn't Fire Lord "yet." He made a point about it.
