[The video feed starts with a dizzying blur of colour, a black clad arm flapping uselessly.]

Unhand me, trash! How dare you manhandle your—

[And out of the well-lit interior of the office building out into the considerably brighter City. Naoi's being shoved outside, hauled out by security.

The communicator he's swinging so carelessly, seemingly unaware of the fact that it's recording, shows a familiar raven-haired girl likewise being taken outside.

Evidently, they were trying to snoop around the Deities' office building, when through one fault or another (good bets on "ruckus and mayhem"), they were caught.]

Why not use your powers to escape? Or have they found a way to overcome them?

They took us by surprise! We weren't expecting it.

Forgive me if I hit on a sensitive point, but I don't want you to become victim to their manhunt, either. At least, ...allow yourself to rely on the assistance of others if you are in that position.

[ She would have come and helped him out if she knew, granted he's not her favorite person here, and she's still slightly upset about their last meeting. It doesn't mean she wants anything terrible to happen to him. ]

... [He's not used to being shown so much care, so he goes mute with shock, his carefully upheld mask cracked and his features softened so that it was almost impossible to see him as much more than a mortal child.]

Please forgive me for what I did before. But I had lived so long without taking my own life, despite everything, that I saw it more noble to fall by the hands of another. It's strange and backwards, but... that's just how I felt. Without considering that you might be so kindhearted that you'd care for a perfect stranger, I deceived you for my benefit.

I only have this one, shamefully simple apology to give... but I hope you will forgive me regardless, Lucina-san.

[He continues to smile, even though it seems tears are gathering in the corners of his eyes. ... still buying the claim that he's some sort of god?]

[ She's startled by the apology, unsure what spurned it... he's suddenly so sincere and guilty for his earlier actions. It's strange, seeing how unrepentant he was before. Is this a curse or does he genuinely feel bad now...? She honestly can't tell, frowning at the state of this land and how easily emotions are toyed with. ]

[ -she hesitates before bowing her head slightly, eyes shifting away from the screen. ]

[What life? He smiles wryly, but doesn't correct her. He was advised by another to behave as if he were alive, a while after their first encounter, but he hasn't been mortal for so long that it doesn't come naturally.]
