#004 [(Accidental) Video]
[The video feed starts with a dizzying blur of colour, a black clad arm flapping uselessly.]
Unhand me, trash! How dare you manhandle your—
Wah!
[And out of the well-lit interior of the office building out into the considerably brighter City. Naoi's being shoved outside, hauled out by security.
The communicator he's swinging so carelessly, seemingly unaware of the fact that it's recording, shows a familiar raven-haired girl likewise being taken outside.
Evidently, they were trying to snoop around the Deities' office building, when through one fault or another (good bets on "ruckus and mayhem"), they were caught.]

video;
Utsuho-san disliked the City air, so I suggested we climb up to the top of the office building, because it is high, and the air is surely cleaner there.
For Utsuho-san's sake.
I suggested it.
For cleaner air.
[Either he's mocking her or he's a genuinely dreadful liar. Maybe he doesn't want to discuss it over the network?]
action;
[She'll be there rather quickly; she's making her City rounds and is in the actual inner City right now. Except, huh, apparently she can fly without wings -- she drops down from over the top of the building in question and catches herself smoothly before her feet would strike the ground. She hovers there, about an inch over the ground, and sighs at the pair of them. Her expression says What Did You Do?]
Are you very hurt?
action;
No. It doesn't matter if I am, I'll heal.
We were... trying to gather intelligence on the Deities. [Both ill-suited for the job.]
Re: action;
...You walked in with no knowledge at all of what is inside?
action;
I will admit that this plan was not exactly at its most refined when it was put into action.
Re: action;
I want information as well, but since you two are already trying and are seen to be troublemakers, you will be the best to continue. Subterfuge is not my specialty, but I know basic theory...
You need to scout. Get a friendly and more stealthy individual to help you. This place has non-magical technology -- try planting a recording device inside and listening to what is there. Preferably video recording, but audio works as well, if that is all you can get.
Here.
[She holds up her device.]
When you plan to try again, take this. I know that if left alone long enough, they will return to their owners by themselves, so if you can't rescue it, presumably it will eventually find its way back to me. I will set it up to record.
After you have that information, plan, and be quiet. You've seen the Watch; they cannot be defeated by a single citizen. Assume the security inside is at least that good or better. Assume they are armed and willing to use lethal force, and that your debacle here did not earn their full wrath. Assume that once you touch anything of consequence inside, and they notice you, they will retaliate in kind. Likely as not there are scores of lower hires between you and the Deities proper -- try to avoid them as well, but any information they have will be easier to find and secure and may still be valuable.
With that in mind, I would still encourage you to try again...if only so we can know what is actually going on here. Neither side is telling, and we are all the worse for it.
Please do not divulge my involvement in the matter...I am doing what I can to remain neutral, and this assistance to you is simply so that we can all be more informed. I have not taken a side yet.
action;
We will appoint another.
[He accepts her communicator.]
I understand. [He really was surprised by how lukewarm their reaction was to their intrusion, so he was already aware this was far from their full capabilities.
At her last request, he smirks.] Don't worry. I'll take this secret to the grave.
[It's... a form of humour in the afterlife, to say such thing when one cannot die a second time, but his promise is earnest at least.]
... we'll stay until we find another to plan with.
Re: action;
Be careful, both of you. If you let me know when you will start this, I will be nearby in case I can assist if something goes wrong.
Otherwise, I look forward to what you find.
action;
We won't let you down. [He said it with great reassurance, because having someone to prove himself to was more than enough drive.]
