[ 005 ] 🌠 [ Text ]
I return home for a few days and walk back into a war zone. I'm getting the feeling that I've missed something important.
( Private || Clary, Mae, & Jem )
Is everyone all right?
[ OOC: Re-intro! He's been gone about five days, give or take. ]

So, you remembered being here when you were... there?

People aren't known for remembering it if they come back, are they?

I don't think so.
text;
[ At first she hadn't noticed. Jace keeps himself to himself here and she'd thought maybe he was off learning the lay of the land or something equally part of the super secret shadowhunter club. Then she'd started to panic. He hadn't come back even with everything that had gone on in the City.
Seeing his words on the network now closes up her throat, her fingers shaking as she texts back. ]
text;
[ She was there, in Brooklyn, as if nothing had happened, but she didn't remember, and as much as he was thankful to know she was safe and well with everything else has they left it, he knew there was a version of her still in the City, alone, the one who was in time with him, his Clary. He never thought he'd be so relieved to be back here, but he is, if not worried. ]
how long was i gone? i didn't think it was long, but looking around, i'm starting to rethink that theory.
text;
[ She grabs her coat immediately, shrugs it on before she's heading out. As much as she needs to speak with him, text messages aren't what she wants and so they're short and brusque. Instead all of her energy goes into taking the stairs two at a time and bursting out into the street. ]
text;
[ He's already moving, heading towards the apartment, legs going faster now he knows she's definitely coming from that direction, and when she comes into view, he hesitates, just for a moment, to look on and take her in, a smile slowly pulling at his lips that's just for her. A few long, enthusiastic strides and he's right there, in front of her, pulling her into his arms. ]
text;
[ Her fingers bury into his shoulders, face pressed against his chest even though she wants to look at him too. This moment is needed though, Clary on her tiptoes to hug him back, to will away the tears that she hadn't shed while he was gone because she couldn't. ]
I thought -. [ Mumbled, unhappy. ] I thought I'd be stuck here without you.

[ It's intended to be lightly sarcastic, but it ends up sounding pathetic; he knows he would have tried to find a way back here to her if he hadn't been brought back. ] It looks like I got back just in time.

[ She lifts back slightly to get a good look at his face, her hands cupping his cheeks. ] They're talking about revolution and chaos and everyone is literally going out of their minds.

[ He's grinning, Mae, grinning, and he's taking that as a sign she's in good health. ]
Did you miss me?

I knew I'd grow on you sooner or later. [ Almost hopeful, because, hell, there's enough destruction around him. ] Is there anything to kill?

We don't like tyranny.

[She flails pathetically, before hiding behind her pillows on the bed.] Things are looking pretty bad.

They really don't look good. [ Because he's helpful like that. ] What happened, do you know?
[Video]
Do you think you could do shomething about it?!
[Video]
I don't doubt that I will, but I couldn't tell you what that is yet. Do you have someone to keep you safe if it does come to a fight?

Hello, Jace.

[ With a slow smirk; he's pleased to see her face again after thinking he might not get to. ] Hello, Ginny.
