[If you happen to be anywhere near the fountain, you will probably hear a scream as a boy drops out of the sky—]

You can't juST THROOOOW ME LIKE THIIIIiiiiiis, I'm god!!

[— and hits the water with a splash.

After getting over the initial shock, but not before he snatches his drifting hat before it gets too far, the boy sits up, soaking wet, to look around himself.

He doesn't look impressed with what he sees, replacing his hat atop his head... without dumping out the water, so it sends the water crashing down in a miniature waterfall around his face.

A moment spent in silent rage.]

What now? Honestly! Why do I still have a lifetime's worth of memories and awareness? I was expecting to be reborn...

[He climbs up to sit on the edge, taking off the hat and his jacket. Time to wait for his clothes to dry before he tries to get some information. He's not about to willingly interact with anyone looking like this!]

[He just laughs at her, hops down and looks at that weapon on her arm. The water evaporated as soon as it touched it, didn't it?

He waves his soaked vest and hat over it, hoping to dry them on any radiating heat while she's docile. Nothing if not opportunistic!

He's had his laugh, so he lets her go, his eyes reverting to their normal colour. Welcome back to not being a wash-basin, Utsuho!]

[She snaps back with a shake of her head, then jumps to her feet and steps back. Her wings fluff and bristle, very much a bird-in-a-huff look.]

[ooc: Wait, you're the person behind Nobori? DERP I didn't realize this! We keep running into each other.]

Didn't I tell you already? I am god. [He smiles as he finishes buttoning up his now significantly drier vest.] But, in spirit and name, I am Naoi Ayato. [He adjusts his hat.]

You're a god? I ate a god once. You look like no big deal.

[She grins, a bit of fire hissing out from between her teeth. Nothing if not stubborn, isn't she?]

I guess that makes me half a god, eh?

[Her laughing is hoarse and almost sounds like a caw.]

OH, CRAP, she's breathing fire. Now that succeeds in making him jump and stare in alarm.]

Is the other half a crow? [All he asks when he finds his voice again; the cawing coupled with the black wings makes him wonder.]

[Ooh, she scared the little god, that makes her happy. Not so pompous now, is he? She fluffs up her wings and holds them out a bit, then gives Naoi a scare-shot from her cannon that sends plumes of roiling golden fire over the ground. It's not aimed at him, just vaguely near his feet.]

I'm a hell raven, but ravens and crows are pretty similar, so I won't blame you there.

[He steps back, holding down the rim of his hat as he watches in a mixture of fear and awe.]

Yeah, I keep the fires hot and make sure all the souls get burned. It's really damn cold up here, but I'm getting used to it.

[Aaaand she has already forgotten that she had a beef with him, now that he's offering reasonable conversation.]

[He won't answer regarding his life, assuming she meant what he did in the afterlife:] Seito Kaichou. I was the acting Student Council President.

Well, I suppose my position went back to being vice president, after the previous President's reinstatement.

Ah, speaking of the President... you reminded me of her at first. She has bladed gauntlets and wings, only hers are white. Her hair is white too... if you're a hell raven, I suppose she's a heavenly heron.

We're supposed to make sure everyone follows the rules and attends classes. [~~Beating up innocent students and starting a bloodbath, quite shockingly, is not part of his official duties.~~ Yup, all this attitude from a Student Council (Vice) President.]

Okay, I give up. I can't figure you out. You're a god, but you spend all your time with a bunch of kids? And your job is to herd them all around and make sure they follow the rules?

What kind of god is that? Shouldn't you be bringing rain on some fields or setting things on fire or something?

How rude! [Well, as much as he'd hate to admit it, she has a point!] It's not like I had any choice in the matter. The world I was in was occupied by only children and silly model students and teachers that had no mind of their own, marching around like toy soldiers.

The only thing I could do was try to reach the top. I believe that that world chose its god and I was the only one who dared to reach for that position.

Besides, at least I carry out my duties. [Very bitter about the concept of gods, really.]
