Hi sweetie. I've got that vodka ready to try. It took me a bit longer than I thought it would.

I think if this works out well I may try some other beverages. Though I am a bit at a loss as to what to do with it all. I guess I always figured that one of my brothers would help with that end of things.

Anyway!

Come on over if you'd like to tell me what I need to fix.

Hardly. I've been doing this for years. I've just never made vodka before.

You've been making alcohol?

[There's a business opportunity in his head, suddenly. Amazing how that happens.]

I have been. I'm not sure of the vodka but I know the wine is good.

I'd be interested in sampling your products, if you're willing.

Of course I'm willing. That is the point of them, after all.

Where should I meet you?

[Potential business? With an attractive woman? He's on it.]

[She names a place near the forest where she's been making her wine.]

It's a gray stone building, hard to miss.

[And, indeed, he is -- after making sure he looks decent enough to have an impromptu business discussion, of course.]

[The day Andrew doesn't start out ready for an impromptu business discussion is a day the world ends. It'd be nearly impossible for the man to get ruffled and wrinkled.

Laruna's gotten a table out, with some glasses and bottles. She looks like her usual self, fabulous (in her opinion) and casual.]

[He offers her that elusive little smile, more a quick quirk of his lips than anything resembling what normal people would consider a smile.]

[She gestures for him to take a seat.]

I'm afraid I don't have anything really fancy for tasting. But the wine should make up for it.

If you can want to try the vodka, you can, but I can't guarantee how good it'll be.

[He sits down.]

I'd like to sample whatever you have, for the sake of being fully versed in your products.

[How can one want to be involved in a business without knowing every aspect of it, after all?]

Fair enough. We'll start with the good stuff and go down from there.

[She pours him a glass - she has one glass for every bottle out, so she knows something about what she's doing.

The wine tastes mostly like water, but it has a hint of bite and a drifting memory of fruit.]

[He takes a sip of it.]

Interesting. I haven't tasted anything quite like it before.

I've never found any humans who could make something like this back home.

[Of course not, it requires magic...]

But it's a very difficult skill to master and takes a lot of finesse. You have to "convince" the water that it wants to be something else.

If it's so difficult to make and requires so much finesse, you could make quite a profit off of it.

[A pause to take another sip.]

Are you looking for investors?

If people here appreciated the work that goes into it. I don't know if people would realize that.

[She pours herself her own glass and swirls it around absently with a finger.]

I'm looking for help. I wasn't expecting to have such an opportunity to do such a thing so quickly. I had a few years back home before I could do it legally.

I may be able to provide help, if you're interested in having a business partner.

[Even if it weren't legal around here, there's a chance he'd consider it anyway.]

[It's more she has to wait until she's legally an adult to do these sort of things. Which isn't until she's twenty five.]

If you don't mind doing all the business stuff at first because I don't know how to do it yet.

"Business stuff" is what I do best. It should be no problem.

You'll show me how to do it, right? Just in case you vanish. I don't want to be left in a lurch.

Does vodka taste like the other drinks we had? [She only knows it's an alcohol.]

I'll certainly show you how to do it, but I'm not sure I'll ever have the good fortune to vanish.

If you have vodka, what other drinks could you need? [Scotch? Ha. Unlikely.]
