Mercy can be found sitting on a stool at a local bar. She's got on a short skirt and a tight top that rides up enough to show her midriff - and her tattoo. Pretty uncharacteristic of her, as is the mixed drink she's sipping at. She's flirting with the bartender and casting her eye around for anyone interesting.

So... what's a girl gotta do to get laid around here?

[He's nursing a drink a few stools further down the bar, but that catches his attention.]

[She turns and smiles at him.]

Apparently.

[And her smile gets a little more flirty.]

If she's looking to have a fun night and not having much luck.

[She points at the guy getting up from the stool on the other side of him.]

No, no. Not you. I already turned you down. I'm horny, not desperate. Seriously, take a shower and brush your teeth on occasion, okay?

[And then turns back to Chase.]

You on the other hand. Clean, nice use of cologne without overdoing it, and handsome. So... can I buy you a drink?

[He twists to get a look at the guy behind him, offering a sympathetic grimace.]

People don't say that in real life because they don't mean it. You don't mean it. You're hot, you're aware you're hot - pretty much all you'd have to do to get laid is ask. You mean what do you have to do to get the attention of someone you're interested in. Because you're picky.

[And he's walking down to take up the spot on the stool next to her.]

Which is good, you should be. The alternative kind of sucks.

[He gives the bartender his request for a refill - but lays his own wallet on the bar to pay for both their drinks.]

[She smiled up at him a little seductively.]

[He smiles himself, glancing away to down the last of his drink before its replacement arrives.]

I'm Robert. And classy's always an aspiration.

[Mercy rolled the name over in her mouth.]

[She took another sip of her drink and shifted so that her body was facing him.]

So, Robert... Interested in taking a girl home for some hot sex? Or would you prefer some more small talk before we get down to it?

[He chokes, just a little, on his next breath, and looks up with a grin.]

Oh, I'm definitely interested. But maybe a few more minutes? I'm... curious as to why the urgent need.

[Mercy laughed, a deep sexy laugh.]

Well, you did say all I had to do was ask! And maybe I was hoping to see just that look on your face.

Honestly, though? Why not? If I want to have sex with someone and they're interested, why beat around the bush?

[She took another sip.]

Nothing wrong with small talk, but there's plenty of time for that between rounds, if you know what I mean.

[He's going to lose his 'classy' label if he makes beating around the bush into a pun, now isn't he. Still, there's a quirk to his mouth that implies he does have some idea of what she means.]

So going in with the hard sell is your usual technique? I mean- not that I'm complaining.

[There's the briefest moment of uncertainty. Unless you knew her well, you'd probably miss it. And then the smile is back.]

Why not? If I want something why not go after it?

[He's observant - but slightly less so after two drinks. And so far she's passing all his checks: she's not wasted, she's confident enough that it would be tough to believe this was out of character. And he's not a saint.

So he stands up.]

[Nope. Not wasted, totally confident. Cursed? Oh yes. But there's no way for either of them to realize that and while she'll be embarrassed later, she certainly won't hold it against him - or even necessarily regret it.

So, she finishes off her drink and sets it back on the counter, shifting to face him completely with a knowing smile.]

So... Your place or mine?

[Considering this, he rests his hands on her knees, fingers splayed upwards to reach the high hem of that short skirt.]

My place is fifteen minutes walk. Yours?

[She shivers delightedly at his touch.]

I'm a lot further than that.

Then it sounds like there's an obvious answer.

[And, in a moment, his hands curl under her knees and give the lightest tug forward. He doesn't step back, though, and there's not much room between him and that stool she's sitting on.]

[Her breath catches for a moment at the tug and then she's grinning at him. One leg wraps around his and her hands slide up his chest.]

I guess there is. Assuming we make it that far.

Well... I reckon we'd get thrown out of the bar.

[Really, the closer he gets to her the more he's thinking that describing her as 'hot' was a serious understatement.

Maybe the right word will come to mind as he kisses her. Can't get thrown out for that.]

[Oh, and he kisses divinely! Mercy doesn't bother trying to answer him just yet, time enough for that when they've both run out of breath. She pushes herself up, wanting to get even closer as they kiss.]

[He wouldn't call anything he does divine - especially in circumstances like this. That's part of the attraction. But the barman clears his throat when Chase's elbow almost catches one of the glasses, and so he pulls back enough to catch his breath, and catch Mercy's hands.] Maybe we should make a start.

[They can probably make it outside, at least, before he wants her pressed against him again.]

[He got a slow smile before she slid off the stool. He might have her hands, but they were still close enough that her body rubbed up against his as she moved.]

[She'd be very disappointed if they made it too far without him wanting her pressed up against him again.
