1 [video]
[The image on the screen is of a scruffy looking man wearing a baggy black frock jacket, scraggly tie, and plaid pants. He looks like he’s nearing middle age, but his blue eyes have a mischievous, youthful glint. He runs a hand through his mop of dark hair and breathes deep through his nose, before making a face.]
Oh dear me. Of all the places they could have me land in. [Pulls at his jacket lapels] The gutter! Oh well, it could be worse I suppose. They could have me land in the middle of a molten river for all they care! Or the local sewer.[Looks up at the sky] Hm, now, what have we here? Oh, it would be helpful if I had someone to talk with. Like Jamie or Zoe. I wonder how Victoria turned out. [Begins walking down the alley and emerges onto a sunlit street] Oh splendid! I must be in America, perhaps even Los Angeles…I think. [Looks around] This can’t be right. Where is…where is everyone? Some place like this would be full of life at this time of day. [Checks his watch] Perhaps it’s Sunday. Very well. [Claps his hands] I haven’t been to a church service in ages. Or perhaps the local pub. I could at least get some idea there about this place. Hmm.

Re: [voice]
Of course there's also café juliet if you would prefer?
Re: [voice]
[Action]
[Rose sends over the directions to café juliet, where she has arrived and is looking around.]
Re: [Action]
Oh dear. Doesn't look at all as appealing as the name implies.
Re: [Action]
It sort of grows on you over time.
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
Come on then, let's go inside.
[She leads him inside the cafe where she can smell the pastries.]
So what sort of tea do you like?
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
[Rose walks up to the counter and orders two teas. Before long she's holding both teas at hand looking around for a seating area.]
Doesn't seem that full today.
Re: [Action]
[Takes the teas and sits at a table by the window. Takes a sip]
Ah, delightful. Now, tell me my dear, what is this place and how long have you been here?
Re: [Action]
[She follows and takes a seat clutching her tea. At the question she has to think for a moment.]
Well it's called the City. Very original yeah? And I've been here for around...8 months now. Of course no telling how much time has passed outside.
[That really worries her. She takes a sip.]
So what about you? I mean, where did you come from originally?
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
[She takes another sip.]
There's something else you should know about this place if they haven't told you already. They've got these curses.
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
Ghosts...Well...[She takes another sip and looks to her left.]
Shut up.
Re: [Action]
Yes. Tell me about the ghosts.
